Application for Admissions into Higher Education Institutions for

qualified candidates who passed the Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)
examination in 2013 and 2014.

1. Overview
The Tanzania Commission for Universities (TCU) hereby informs prospective
applicants who passed the RPL examination in 2014 and those who passed
their RPL examination in 2013 but could not apply for admission during the
2013/2014 academic year that the application for admissions into Higher
Education Institutions is now open.

Please Note:
i) Applicants who passed their RPL examination in 2014, will not pay
another application fee; instead they will be required to log in using
their usernames and passwords and select only one programme
choice.
ii) Applicants who passed their RPL examination in 2013 will be required
to pay application fee of TSHS.50, 000/ payable through NBC
branches country wide using TCU CAS Acc. No.074139000021.
iii) After paying a fee of TSH. 50,000/ they will be given scratch cards
(Application Vouchers) by the respective NBC Branch where the
payment has been made that they will use to apply only one
programme.




2. How to apply

A. Applicants who passed their RPL examination in 2013
i) After paying a fee of TSH. 50,000/ you will be given scratch cards
(Application Vouchers) by the respective NBC Branch.
ii) Send your voucher numbers, Serial Numbers, RPL number (eg.
RPL/2013/1234) and your phone number to TCU through
admission@tcu.go.tz.
iii) After sending your details to TCU, you will receive your username and
password through your mobile phone (sms) or email.
iv) Follow the below procedures for application to applicants who passed
their examination in 2014.


B. Applicants who passed their RPL examination in 2014.
i) Open TCU website (http://www.tcu.go.tz)
ii) Click CAS on the top menu of the TCU website to open the Central
Admission System
iii) Write your Username and Password (the ones you use when you were
doing your registration.
iv) Click the Application button
v) Highlight/Click on your programme of choice
vi) Click on two agree check boxes
vii) Click on submit selected programme button to confirm your application
viii) Log out

3. Deadline
The system will be open from 3
rd
September to 10
th
September 2014.
