1) General Safety and Precautions

1.1) Work Area Safety
Do not operate the power tools in explosive atmospheres, such as in the presence of
flammable liquids or gases. Power tools create sparks, which may ignite the fumes.

1.2) Electrical Safety
Power tool plugs must match the socket. Never modify the plug in any way.
Do not expose power tools to rain or wet conditions. Water entering a power tool will increase
the risk of electric shock. Use waterproof equipment to perform underwater work.
Use the extension cord that suitable for outdoor use to reduce the risk of electric shock.

1.3) Personal Safety
Use personal protective equipment such as goggle, dust mask, non-skid safety shoes,
hardhat, glove, safety attire or earplug for appropriate conditions to minimize personal injuries.
Stay alert; watch what you are doing when operating a power tool. Do not use a power tool
while you are tired or under the influence of drugs, alcohol or medication.
Avoid accidental starting. Ensure the switch is in the off-position before plugging in. Do not
carry the tools with your finger on the switch of plugging in power tools.
Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and balance at all times.
Do not force the power tool. Use the correct power tool for your application.
Disconnect the plug from the power source and/or the battery pack from the power tool before
making any adjustments, changing accessories, or storing power tools.
Do not allow untrained persons to operate the power tools.
Maintain power tools. Check for misalignment or binding of moving parts, breakage of parts
and any other condition that may affect the power tool's operation. Poorly maintained power
tools cause accident.
Keep cutting tools sharp and clean. Properly maintained cutting tools with sharp cutting edges
are less likely to bind and are easier to control.

1.4) Specific Precautions - Resin Capsule
Do not expose the resin capsule to direct sunlight during installation. Remove the capsule
from the case just before use. In outdoor installation, keep the capsule in shaded place.
The resin capsule is good for six months. If being kept in a cool and shade place, the capsule
could still be used after 1 year. Never use the resin in capsule has lost its liquidity (Gel form).
However, the resin in capsule changed in color or turned to milky, still its liquidity being kept,
can be used.
The capsule contains flammable ingredients, which immediately decompose upon exposure
to high temperature.
- Keep capsules away from fire, sparks, and hot objects.
- Do not extract the contents from the capsule.
- Do not use capsules for any purposes other than for embedment of bolts.
If the capsule container breaks during transportation, storage or handling.
- Be careful to avoid cuts and scratches by broken glass.
- Wipe spilled contents with organic solvent, such as acetone.
- Resin stick and harden on metal, wood or cement, remove with hammer or chisel.
- In the event of liquid resin contact with the skin, wash with warm soapy water.
- In the event of liquid resin contact with the eyes, rinse the eye with lukewarm or tap
water for at least 15 minutes and seek medical attention as soon as possible.
Wear safety goggles or full-face mask throughout capsule handling and installation.

The resin capsule contains the environment friendly and non-polluting components.

6) Operation Procedure

1) Scaffolding Setup

The scaffolding has to be the safe working platform and easy to be installed/removed.

2) Marking with Template

Produce the template for the resin anchor and drop-in anchor holes.
Align the template with a torpedo level at the installation position.
RESIN ANCHOR INSTALLATION MANUAL
8

Mark the holes position with marker pen.
Reconfirm the marked positions with measurement tape.

3) Coring Machine Setup

Drill the holes for the drop-in anchor.
The drop-in anchor to be hammered into the holes where the stud anchors to be
installed.
RESIN ANCHOR INSTALLATION MANUAL
9

Set the coring machine to the stud anchor.
Install the core bit and aim to the marked position and secure the base.
Adjust the drill stand base to ensure the coring machine is firmly set and leveled
perpendicular to the concrete wall.
Set the required drill depth with the depth stopper on the drill stand.
Check the water pressure.
RESIN ANCHOR INSTALLATION MANUAL
10

4) Coring/ Drilling

Start the coring machine and water supply
Move the core bit toward concrete and ensure the steady water flows through the bit.
When no progress on the coring, try to retract and reinsert the core bit where the
turning speed should be lowered.
The depth of the drilled hole should be the same as the length of the embedded
anchor bolt, L3.

11

5) Hole Cleaning

After coring, break the center core with driver and take it out with hook.
Clean the hole with water, brush and compressed air.

6) Confirm Hole Depth

Measure the depth of the hole with measuring tape.
RESIN ANCHOR INSTALLATION MANUAL
12

7) Capsule Insertion

Insert the resin capsule to the end of the hole.

8) Anchor & Nut Setting

Set the anchor bolt with two nuts.
RESIN ANCHOR INSTALLATION MANUAL
13

9) Anchor Loading

Insert the anchor bolt by turning and pushing with the impact wrench and break the
resin capsule with the end of the anchor bolt.
To prevent the resin from flowing out, a washer can be used with the nuts.
Stop drilling when the anchor bolt reaches to the painted line on the bolt.
Inserting should be completed within 60 seconds
Take off the impact wrench carefully.
RESIN ANCHOR INSTALLATION MANUAL
14

10) Hardening

The nuts should be left on the anchor bolt and let the resin harden in accordance
with the recommended time.

11) Nut Disassembly

Detach the nuts with wrenches after the resin hardened.

The marine fender shall be installed 5-hours after the anchor bolts are inserted.
The vessel can berth to the fender 24-hours after the fender is installed.
