Individual Product Favourite Teen Outfit

Goals:
At the end of this activity and of the project itself students will be able to:
1. express preference regarding their favorite clothing items (90% accuracy)
2. label clothes, patterns and materials appropriately (85% accuracy)
3. give advice on the proper outfit for a certain occasion (85% accuracy)
4. orally present their favourite teen outfit (90%accuracy)
5. write a descriptive paragraph of their favourite clothes (90%accuracy)

Materials needed: templates, crayons
Description of the activity:
Students are given a template representing a model. The teacher tells them that they will have to
decide individually on their favourite teen outfit. Students draw their favourite clothes on the
model, they name the clothes, colours, materials and patterns accordingly.
Studnets individually present their template to the class as follows:
Items: My favorite teen outfit includes (e.g. My favorite teen outfit includes a striped short-
sleeved red blouse, a pair of plain tight black jeans, a pair of blue leather high-heeled shoes and
some accessories: gold earrings, a necklace, a leather watch and a leather and cotton bracelet.)
Reason for wearing: I like wearing these clothes because (e.g. I like wearing these clothes
because I feel comfrotable and confident in them.)
Suggestions: You should wear this outfit at (e.g. You should wear this outfit in your daily
activities, at a party or when going shopping.)

Students are also asked to write a reflective paragraph about their favourite outfit.

My Favourite Outfit
(Reflective paragraph)

I am not a fashion addict but I enjoy being well-dressed. I prefer confortable
clothes that fit my body and my personality as well. I am a jeans and trousers fan
because I can wear them on all occasions and they give me the confidence and
seriousness that I find necessary especially in my work.
I also like silk, cotton colorful blouses because they give me that boost of
energy I need every day. I do not hesitate to wear some accessories, and of course
the indispensable watch.
As for the footwear, at school I like wearing light shoes, without heels, but
on other occasions, like going to a party or to an event, I wear some high heels as
well.
I usually go shopping for clothes twice a month. I always aim to keep a
balance between price and quality. Quality comes first, of course, but I do not have
the habit of spending too much money on clothes. I am not always looking for
designer labels; on the contrary, I buy everything that suits my style.
