Spelling Homework Menu

Directions: Choose the activities that will help you best learn your
spelling words.
Choose one option from the menu each night. Complete activity on a sheet
of paper and put it in your spelling folder. I will collect all spelling
homework on Friday. Please have a parent initial on your homework sheet
to indicate which activity you complete each night.

*Please do not complete the same activity each night. You can repeat menu
options but not within the same week. Have fun learning your spelling
words in different ways!*

Look at the word. Really look at it and think about the parts of the word and the
order or patterns that you see.
Say the word slowly. Are there silent letters? How many parts do you here?
Cover the word.
Write the word without looking at it. What can you remember about the word to help
you spell it correctly?
Check the word. Look at the word to check your spelling.
