In this journal, keep a record of all youre experiencing in this course, including the reactions of your Panel of Helpers when you ask them for specic reactions about the material. 2. Identify at least three people in your life who can be your Panel of Helpers as you move through this 9-week course. These can be friends, spouses, siblings, relatives or anyone with whom youre comfortable sharing your insights from this journey. Ask these Helpers if they would be willing to engage with you once a week or so about your insights, observations, and breakthroughs with regard to the concepts youll be learning in this course. 3. Which three people have you chosen? Ask each member of your Panel of Helpers if they would be willing to respond to the following questions: a. Do you believe you have a soul? b. If you do, what do you imagine is the purpose of the soul? c. What is your idea about the place of the soul in the conduct of human afairs? d. If you believe you have a soul, and that I have a soul, do you think it is possible for our two souls to communicate at a level that transcends physicality? Do you believe that our souls have the ability to communicate in the same way with God? Take careful note of the answers you hear, and maybe even keep a written record of them. 4. After hearing from all three members of your Panel of Helpers about how theyre experiencing their lives and their souls, decide how you wish to experience your soul and your God. Write that reection in your journal. 5. Write a short, three-paragraph essay in your journal on what you now know to be true about your soul, and what you now choose to experience in your life regarding your connection with the Divine, and regarding the whole purpose of your existence.

After reecting on what youve learned in Session 1, what do you know to be true about your soul, and what do you now choose to experience in your life regarding your connection with the Divine, and regarding the whole purpose of your existence? 2. What does it mean to you to be a three-part being? 3. Have there been moments in your life where you have felt a direct connection to your soul, or God? Under what circumstances did those moments arise? Community Reflection Questions (Engagement with the Community) 1. Before taking this course, what was your experience of your soul? What would you have said was its purpose and function? How has what youve learned today contrasted with, or conrmed, what you were taught as a youngster? 2. Discuss the diference between what society tells us is the purpose of life and what the ultimate purpose of life is, according to our soul. 3. Please explain, in your own words, the statement God wants to be used. After you have reected on these questions, please visit the Practice & Reection discussion on the Online Community Site to read the responses of 2-3 other participants. Then take some time to respond to at least two other people by sharing what moved, touched, or inspired you.
