Making dinners students draw pictures of their favourite foods on paper plates and roleplay dinner parties. Recipe game chop, slice, shake, mix actions. Food fishing students have to find the correct food flashcard attached to magnetic fish and hook it up. Making menus for imaginary restaurants and role playing with them. !aste test examples of salty, sweet, sour and spicy in "owls. #tudents "lindfolded have to guess which is which. !his week we can continue to use similar games and activities to teach the students the voca"ulary words, "ut introduce the new western food voca"ulary. $ will continue to discuss the flavour of different foods in more detail, and we can discuss the different western food types that will make it onto the different sections of the menu. !he students will create a display for the outside "oard this week using the pictures that they have created on the paper plates. Phonics This week in phonics we will begin the final review of all vocabulary words and sounds to prepare for the end of semester assessment. e will practice using vocabulary games such as !ucky "ip# $op%&p# the !ines game# $ass the 'omb and 'ingo. The students already have a strong grasp of the words and sounds# ( hope to improve everyone in time for the assessment) Wr!t!n# Pract!ce There will not be any specific writing practice this week# however# we will continue to practice in our notebooks and using worksheets. What are some examples of each that you eat a lot of?
