how to fix broken heater blower on 3!
started b& remoing the gloe bo. and surrounding panels to gain access to the
heater blower /an.
0his was not to hard and do ris1 o/ bra1ing an&thing.
". 2 remoed the blower motor and naigating it past the wire looms and
brac1ets.
!. 0ested the motor blower on the batter& charger in the garage3 spun up no
problems.
3. 'o /ault still lies somewhere behind this dash.
,. #ocated the resistor inside the blower aperture3 i/ the reach in and twist it anti
cloc1 it will pull down and reeal the electrical connection.
4. 0he resistor contains 4 connections that pass the oltage across di//erent
tappings o/ the power resistor to gie the speed settings " to ,.
-. Pin " must hae had a poor connection at some point and was slightl& tarnished
crating a /ault& connection on the spade terminal and on the connector plug also.
7. 2 cleaned the connections and added a little copper slip to the pin connections
and re/itted the resistor to the loom.
5. Re/itted the blower motor and tested the s&stem.
all sorted

tarnished #rating a %a!lty #onne#tion on the s"ade terminal and on the
#onne#tor "l!g also.
-. ( #leaned the #onne#tions and added a little #o""er sli" to the "in
#onne#tions and re%itted the resistor to the loom.
.. /e%itted the blo$er motor and tested the system.

2 wrote a little guide on remoing the resistor last &ear when mine /ailed. <ope it helps*

+ big to the gu&s aboe.
M& heater blower pac1ed up &esterda&.
2t was a poor connection between the resistor pins and multiplug connector C a
chec1 on a multimeter showed up no /aults and i had to loo1 really closel& Bwith a
loupeF> at the pins to see slight eidence o/ acingGhigh resistance.
Aleaned it up3 whac1ed it bac1 together and it9s all good.
Aheers3 gu&s C it9d hae ta1en a month o/ 'unda&s to /ind that pes1& resistor
hidden awa& where it is without this post.

(ust li1e to put m& e.perience up o/ this problem.
'ame thing happened to m& mates 307. 0oo1 it all apart3 the connector on the
resistor was indeed dodg&3 a bit o/ burn on the wire itsel/3 cleaned it up and put
bac1 together3 all wor1ing again.
8nl& lasted a /ew da&s a/ter the clean though3 too1 it apart again3 this time cut
out the bad part o/ wire and soldered directl& /rom the loom on that connection to
the resistor terminal. 'o /ar its lasted about "5 months

blower,fan not working
<i i am not sure i/ this is the same problem 3 ? m& blowerG/an is now intermittent
start the engine and it wor1s. 30 mins later start and no blower it has been doing
this /or a /ew months now 6 times out o/ "0 it wor1ed but now 3 times out o/ "0 3
could this be the same problem or something else 3 m& /i. /or the /laps and gears
are still solid and this wor1s /ine 3 $ust the /an 1ic1s in when it wants and neer
when the engine is running alwa&s on start up . used the car , times toda& and it
wor1ed once all steamed up 1nightmare ...

<i mate its a bit tric1& &ou hae to get right into /ootwell stic1 arm right in under
dash and its in the top middle o/ dash board under digital displa& hope this helps
