Powerless in the face of the Administration of Justice

Innocent people serving long sentences, but the criminal perpetrators who can be brought to trial,
many of them go free or with short sentences, putting at risk their communities. And the worst,
judges, prosecutors, lawyers and police detectives are not promoted for its good work, if not, that
they are elected by non-law-specialized public, who do not know them either, at least this way it
is in the USA in case of the first ones as it was centuries ago.

In the last few days was released by his innocence Cathy Woods, and the brothers Henry
McCollum and Leon Brown after 30 years in prison. Lawyers say that the truth is learned thanks
to the technique of the DNA. But no one said anything about the bad job of all those who took
part in the condemnation of these cases. To quote one example, in the case of Mrs. Woods the
real killer, Rodney L. Halbower, was person of interest in the investigation, who had been
imprisoned by an assault two months before.

There are many cases of murderers who have been released by their resources to hire good
lawyers, who were taking advantage of legal technicalities; bad work of prosecutors and police
investigation; not professional jury; and perhaps other gadgets of dubious morality, to get the
killers freedom. There are many examples: one who killed his wife and the lover; another who
killed his neighbor after having made gone to his wife; a former police officer who had
disappeared at least three wives; the many cases of police officers that "in self-defense!" killed
unarmed people and even sometimes not only with a single shot, as if we were in The Wild
West, 200 years ago.

But the case that we are dealing with today is enervating, both by the bad precedent as that the
murderer is still in danger to society. An individual of jackrabbit starts with very little control.
According to the trial, at all lights, Oscar Pistorius had one of these violent attacks that terrorized
to his fiance, who ran to the bathroom and closed the door to protect herself. There the killer
went, and while discussing with her through the door, he furiously shot her. Of course there was
no premeditation, only "a little outburst", which makes him dangerous for the community, which
trusts on their justice system for their protection. Mankind today regrets the irreversible loss of
Reeva Steenkamp, a talented woman, incredible beautiful and so noble that gave her love to him
and who even in the bed exceeded the possible repulsion from those two stumps which
disfigured the handsome murder.
