Year 2

St Columbas Catholic
Primary School

Listen to your child read every day.
This need only be for ten minutes but
it is very important. Discuss what
they have read, and the meaning of
new words.

Share stories. Engaging with a variety
of books will be extremely beneficial
to your child. It will help their
reading and writing skills.

Ensure that your child is learning
their 2, 3, 5 and 10 times tables.

Support your child when they are
completing their homework.
Homework will be given each Friday
and must be back to school by the
following Tuesday.

Welcome to St. Columbas Year 2

Welcome to Year 2! We hope you had
a lovely summer holiday. In the next
half term, we have lots of fun and
exciting new topics to learn.

Throughout the term we will be
creating our own art through natural
objects, creating animations and
even watching real caterpillars turn
into butterflies!

Thank you for your co-operation and
support. I look forward to meeting
you all!

Miss Dickinson
