Layering information, including layer name, color and attributes (locked,
visible) will bepreserved in files exported to thefollowing formats: Adobe
Illustrator, DXF, and HPGL.
Layering is ignored during import, so that multipleimports do not create
many unnecessary layers. To preservelayer information, useOpen instead.

AutoCAD DXF Import
When DXF files areimported, thefollowing dialog will appear:


1 Set Units to thedesired units (imperial or metric).
2 Click OK.
If aDXF fileis opened instead of imported, layers that aremarked as frozen
(hidden and non-editable) in theDXF filewill bepreserved as separatelayers,
and marked as hidden.
Adobe Acrobat PDF Export
When adesign is exported to PDF format, thefollowing dialog will appear:


1 Set Scale to thedesired sizefor thePDF page. Thesoftwarewill
shrink or enlargethedesign to match theselected pagesize.
2 Select Full Size to keep thePDF at thesamesizeas thedesign.
3 Check Downsample bitmaps to force thesoftwareto reducethe
number of pixels in bitmaps that areabovetheselected DPI
setting. This may reducethepicturequality of bitmaps, but will
also reduce thePDF file size.
4 Click OK.
Objects that arenot supported by the PDF format, such as Lens effects, will
berasterized and inserted into thePDF as bitmaps.
Gerber File Format Supported Features
Thefollowing features of theGerber fileformats aresupported:
Preview Supported. Preview is shown in theOpen and Import dialogs.
Paths Supported.
Groups All objects areautomatically grouped after import.
Bitmap Supported. If theoriginal bitmap is missing, you will be
prompted to locatethefile.
Text Text is usually imported as outlines, but in somecases they will
bedetected as text and you will beprompted for font
substitution if thereareany missing fonts.
Foil Color Supported. Spot, Spectratone(Duotone), RGB and CMYK are
all supported.
Vinyl Color Supported, but if thejob contains both vinyl and foil colors then
thefollowing messagewill appear:
Check Import vinyl data as contour cut and click OK to
import vinyl color objects as contour cut paths. If theImport
vinyl data as contour cut box is cleared, vinyl objects will be
imported as standard vector objects.
Gradients Supported. Linear and radial gradient aresupported for both
spot and process.
Job print
order
Supported. ChooseApply print order during import to usethe
job print order.
Overlap/
Overprint
Supported. Both import as overprint, but heat settingcan be
changed in driver options.
Primer Supported.
Substrate
color
Supported. In order to seethesubstratecolor useOpen. It is
skipped when using Import.
Stroke Color Supported. If thefill and strokehavedifferent primer/ overprint
or if thestrokeis behind thefill then theywill beimported as
two objects, onewith fill only, theother with strokeonly.
