The Alcatel-Lucent Service Router (SR) Ethernet Media Dependent Adapter-XP (MDA-XP) delivers high-density,
high performance Carrier Ethernet for residential services, business services, and mobile core and backhaul
applications. Ethernet MDA-XPs provide up to 25 Gb/s (full-duplex) of line-rate throughput per card and supports
ITU-T Synchronous Ethernet, leading port densities, and a rich set of service delivery and OAM features.
Alcatel-Lucent Ethernet MDA-XPs are
available in a range of multi-rate, Gigabit
Ethernet (GigE) and 10 Gigabit Ethernet
(10GigE) port congurations. Compliant
with IEEE 802.3 and ITU-T Synchronous
Ethernet standards, Ethernet MDA-XPs
are ideal for Ethernet applications
and services, including mobile core
and backhaul aggregation, residential
triple-play service delivery, L2/L3 business
VPN services, and traditional IPv4/IPv6
routing applications.
Alcatel-Lucent Ethernet MDA-XPs deliver
up to 25 Gb/s (full-duplex) of line-rate
throughput per card and support densities
of up to 400 GigE ports or 200 10GigE
ports per 7750 chassis. Ethernet MDA-XPs
support a wide range of pluggable
optics, including SFP and XFP options,
enabling a high degree of conguration
exibility and service optimization.
Alcatel-Lucent MDA-XPs are available
on the 7750 SR and 7710 SR, are fully
supported by the Alcatel-Lucent 5620
Service Aware Manager (SAM), and
support in-service insertion and
removal. Ethernet MDA-XPs are
supported across the 7750 SR portfolio.
MDA-XPs are supported on the 7750
SR-7 and SR-12 using Input Output
Modules (IOMs) with up to two
MDA-XPs per IOM. Ethernet MDA-XPs
are supported on the Alcatel-Lucent
7750 SR-c12 using the MDA Carrier
Module-XP (MCM-XP) with one
MDA-XP congured per MCM-XP.
Ethernet MDA-XPs are also supported
on the Alcatel-Lucent 7710 SR-c12 and
Alcatel-Lucent 7710 SR-c4 using MDA
Carrier Modules (MCM) with one
MDA-XP congured per MCM.
