Dynamic Effect of High Speed Trains on Bridges with Integrated Walls

ReinertsenSverigeAB, Sweden. Heshamhasworkedwiththedesignof different structureslikebridges, concretetunnelsand
factories.
InNovember 2013, HeshamstartedhisPhD project about thedynamic effectsof highspeedtrainsonbridgeswithintegrated
walls. Theproject aimsat studyingdeeply thedynamic behaviour of thistypeof bridgeswhichincludesdevelopinga3-D FEM
model of anexistingbridgealongtheBothnialinerailway track andverifyingtheresultswiththefieldmeasurementsfromthe
bridge. Thefinal goal of theproject istointroduceasimple, timeefficient anduser friendly model for dynamic analysisof
bridgestobeusedby designers.
