it is a small town on the Eastern Sea@ %t is also a representation of a hone*pot site
which is dependant on tourism and tourist mone@ Tourism can ha&e negati&e and

Tourism gi&es positi&e impacts such as income, especiall on shop owners that owns

The data was collected because
it will help and show us how the

I did this along the high street;
called Station :oad; where there are
the most people present at midday.
It was done e'ery 0 metres to the
sea. >ecause we need to collect
data regarding tourism impacts in
Sheringham and plot it into a graph
and describe what the results show
based on the graph.
The graph will be about tourism
impacts on Sheringham.
'edestrian

The data was collected because
we need information on how
busy the high street is. This will
also show us the highest
concentration of people around
the area. This also shows how
busy the high street is and how
the council can maintain the
area to keep any nuisance away.
#edestrian count will also show
Tourism interest
1 I walked 0m from a point and counted the
number people who passed us from each
direction (from the left and from the right..

". I repeated this step and walked 0m from a
point and counted number people e'ery 0m.
$. I repeated the methods 1) times until I
reached the final site.
I did this along the station after the
road. This led me to the 4igh Street
as I continued onto the road; and
carried on until we reached the
road; 3yndham. I did this e'ery 0m
so I could match it up with all our
other data to analyse the effects of
the number of people in each site
and the positi'e impacts that
affected a place or a site within the
4igh Street.

The &5I was conducted for different
sites along Sheringham 4igh Street
starting from Station road. I used a
systematic method? which is e'ery

on what it is at the time.
I kept using a systematic method to
pre'ent any anomalies in my data

The data collected about
tourism whether the pedestrians
within the Sheringham 4igh
Street are a tourist or a resident.
This will be a positi'e impact to
show that Sheringham is a
honey pot tourism location. I will
collect this data of a stratified
sample of e'ery % people and I
will sur'ey $0 people in three
different sites with reasonable
pedestrian count.
1 I walked from the 4igh Street Intersection for
e'ery 0m with a systematic method until I will
reach the car park.
I record@count the cars for e'ery 0m in my
data collection book
". I went to another car park to check how
many cars were parked at the time.
$. I used the counter for e'ery passing car
going or passing the 4igh Street. I kept myself
time frame for 1 minute
$ I repeated this steps abo'e until I ha'e 1)
different results of sites in my data collection
books.
It was mainly done on the 4igh
street and three other different
roads. It shows the parking space
a'ailable at the 4igh Street and the
negati'e impacts of the usage of the
car park; with too many cars at one
time of the day. The results implies
where the people park their cars;
4ow it differs from using a free
parking space or a paid parking
space such as a car park.
It was done on each street and for 1
minute for e'ery car that passed the
4igh Street. The parked cars were
di'ided into sections based on the
roads they were in. This was
needed to be able to differ if
residents or tourists tend to use
free parking space or the secure car
parks.
