General Electric Notes:

1. Its contractor responsibility to insure that the design comply with local
Authorities during tender & construction stages. No claim is allowed.
2. Contractor should prepare coordination drawings showing all services for
the approval of Architect/Engineer.
3. Contractor should prepare shop drawings for Earthing system as required
by Authorities to the approval of Engineer.
4. Contractor should provide !" level calculation showing that all !"
levels are achieved as per CI#$E code for the following areas%
&ar'ing
Corridors
#ac' of house areas
5. Any discrepancies on the (E& services) contractor responsibility to brought
to the attention of the Engineer and resolved before commencement of any
wor'.
6. Conduits crossing building e*pansion +oints shall be provided with fle*ible
couplings.
7. After every meters of dun of conduit or after every two bends pull bo* shall
be provided. ,he color of the pull bo* shall match the wall/ceiling color.
8. -ittings and soc'ets are tentative. Contractor to co.ordinate with other
services and ta'e approval from Engineer before the commencement of
installation.
9. Minimum size of conduits to e used for li!"tin! circuit s"all e 2# mm
and 25 mm or more for ot"er ser$ices as %er re!ulation of &ut"orities.
1#. Contractor to ensure that 4#' of conduit ( duct s%aces are left for future
re)uirements.
11. Minimum size of conductor for li!"tin! circuit s"all e 2.5 mm

12. Contractor to ensure that the installations under this contract strictly follow
regulation of Authorities and the manufacturer/s instructions.
13. All the mechanical equipments to be with suitable isolators.
14. All the non current metallic parts of the equipments to be earthed properly
including all the water piping) water heater) water pipes0etc.
15. Cable trays shall have continuous earthing as per specs and regulations..
16. +ufficient numer of eart" %its to e %ro$ided so t"at eart" resistance
$alue at t"e fart"est end of t"e circuit does not e,ceed 1.# -.M.
17. All the fittings in wash areas and open areas to be with weather proof
enclosures as per specs and regulation of Authorities.
18. ,he isolators for -C! fans should be provided on the ceiling near the
equipments.
19. All the telephone points to be interconnected to I1- and (1- through
floor +unction bo*es in the telephone rooms of respective floors within
acceptable distance.
2#. 2verride switch for all lights controlled by timers shall be provided in the
control room.
21. In final 1#/s all light circuits shall be protected by 344mA EC# unless
mentioned different protection value or as per specs and regulations of
Authorities.
22. In final 1#/s all power circuits including water heater0etc. shall be
protected by 54mA EC# unless mentioned different values or as per specs
and regulations of Authorities.
23. &ower cables and telephone cables wherever running under building or
pavement areas shall run in !&6C ducts or 7!(E pipes with long radius
bends.
24. -or location of mechanical equipments refer mechanical drawings.
25. All the light fittings shall be as per approval of the architect.
26. -or description of the light fittings refer specification.
27. All 35A soc'et outlet circuits for more than 8 nos. ) shall be connected to a
ring circuit as per regulation of Authorities.
28. 9here multigang lighting switches should be connected to one phase. If it
indicated to be on different phases) a %"ase /arrier of 5## 0 and a
warning label shall be incorporated within the switch base.
29. ighting luminaries spacing is to be made to suit positions if any and their
locations shall be agreed with the architect/s instruction.
3#. 1raw wires shall be left in all conduit runs for other services) which is
between A7!/s /-C!/s and thermostats) and these) should be in accordance
with the drawings.
31. It shall be the contractor/s responsibility to ensure the complete co.
ordination of all services.
32. All holes through fire to be filled with smo'e / flame proof fire barriers.
33. ,he contractor shall be responsible to follow rules & regulations of
Authorities & to do the co.ordination to update the local Authorities
instructions during the construction.
34. All soc'ets outlets in damp areas shall be weather proof and protected with
a 54 mA.
35. Contractor shall provide power point for all mechanical equipments as per
specs) regulations of Authorities & supplier/s requirement.
36. All single core cables feeding supply to the final distribution boards shall
run in a suitable si:ed concealed &6C conduit or ;.I. trun'ing and all
armored cable shall rum on suitably si:ed cable tray.
37. All e*ternal electrical installation shall be weather proof type.
38. All &1/2s ( M11/2s ( M1/2s ( 3-1/2s ( E41/2s5etc. shall be capable
of carrying current indicated at an ambient temperature of 5#

39. All equipment motors shall be provided with local isolating switches and
emergency loc' off stop button.
4#. ,he contractor shall be responsible for obtaining approval from the relevant
local authorities and also for the co.ordination during construction.
41. ,he location of soc'ets in the 'itchen to match with 'itchen layout &
should be co.ordinate with 'itchen supplier.
42. All the steel structure must be earthed.
43. All the cover plates shall be metallic <brass= or as per Engineer approval.
44. All lights in common public areas & par'ing area should be controlled
through lighting control system or occupancy sensor in respective 1#.
45. -or light fittings in all areas included in I1 scope of wor' refer to I1
drawings.
46. -inal location of light fittings points should be coordinated with I1
drawings & other services.
All the above notes and those given any other drawings shall form part of the
contract whether clarified in the specification or not.
