the following Book of the Year awards: English Chess Federation:
San Luis 2005 (2007), Attacking Manual 1&2 (2010), How I
Beat Fischers Record (2013). ChessCafe: Learn from the Legends
(2005), Pump Up Your Rating (2013). Association of Chess
Professionals: GM Preparation: Calculation (2013). FIDEs
Boleslavsky Medal: Build Up Your Chess 1-3 (2008), Attacking
Manual 1&2 (2011). ChessPublishing: GM Repertoire Vol. 3
(2009), Vol. 2 (2010), Vol. 9 (2011), Te Kings Gambit (2013).
I used four books from Quality Chess in my preparation for the World
Championship match last year: Practical Chess Defence, Te Berlin
Wall, Advanced Chess Tactics and Rook vs Two Minor Pieces. I am
not sure that these books are especially suited for the match preparation; they
are simply useful for anyone who wants to raise the level of their game.
