Job Description
Responsi bl e for process engi neeri ng support to al l Qatargas
OPCO faci l i ti es and associ ated projects. Pl ans, di rects and
parti ci pates i n provi di ng process technol ogy rel ated servi ces for
al l QG OPCO faci l i ti es whi ch i ncl udes both onshore and offshore
faci l i ti es. Ini ti ates studi es, conducts process audi ts and
recommends faci l i ti es modi fi cati ons to i mprove effi ci ency,
producti vi ty, safety, cost savi ngs and technol ogy updates.
Tasks and Duti es:
a. Carri es out conceptual and process engi neeri ng desi gn work
for projects rel ated to modi fi cati ons, i mprovements,
debottl enecki ng and pol l uti on control , as per i nternati onal code
and practi ces.
b. Revi ews tenders submi tted by engi neeri ng consul tant and
contractors and comments on techni cal aspects of thei r
proposal s as wel l as cost, safety, consi derati ons and schedul i ng
of the proposed works.
c. Parti ci pates i n the detai l ed eval uati on and techni cal audi t of
cri ti cal area and equi pment, as part of a team compri si ng seni or
representati ves from mai ntenance, operati ons and someti mes
outsi de consul tants. Prepares or revi ews and si gns off on
recommendati ons for i mprovements and technol ogi cal updati ng.
d. Parti ci pates i n HAZOP studi es for al l proposed pl ant or fi el d
modi fi cati ons wi th representati ves from operati ons,
mai ntenance, safety and i nspecti on. Parti ci pates i n HAZOP
report preparati on and recommendati ons.
e. Co-ordi nates process engi neeri ng support
f. Carri es out techni cal revi ews of start-up procedures and
rel ated operati ng gui del i nes.
g. Revi ews process condi ti ons of the faci l i ti es duri ng the start-up
peri od and ensures that uni ts are bei ng operated i n l i ne wi th
desi gn i ntent and that any devi ati ons are revi ewed and assessed
for i mpact on safety, rel i abi l i ty and effi ci ency of the pl ant.
h. Revi ews operati ng data and i mpl ements speci al testi ng
programs as necessary to anti ci pate, eval uate and resol ve
process probl ems.
i . Carri es out or parti ci pates i n troubl e shooti ng, i denti fyi ng
respecti ve causes of probl ems and recommendi ng changes or
al terati ons of operati ng parameters i n order to avoi d
reocurrence of probl ems.
j. Identi fi es requi rements for speci al tests or anal yses i n
conjuncti on wi th operati ons, HSEQ and l aboratory personnel .
Interprets resul ts of such tests and anal ysi s and di ssemi nates
such i nformati on through vari ous techni cal reports to
management and other concerned personnel .

B.Sc. or M.Sc. i n Chemi cal engi neeri ng.
Required Experience
b. 8 years process engi neeri ng experi ence i n the oi l and gas
i ndustry, of whi ch a mi ni mum of 5 years i n LNG Process /
refi nery engi neeri ng / operati ons.
c. Techni cal management experi ence
d. Very good wri tten and spoken Engl i sh.
e. Computer l i teracy, i ncl udi ng use of process si mul ati on and
spreadsheet software
