Interview (OPERATIONAL LEVEL)

1. What skills do you consider crucial for success in this position?


Understanding Clients, Deal with Clients, Come up with effective solutions that
aligns with the Clients demand.

2. What difficulties and challenges do you foresee in making the move from managing
a single plant to managing multiple plants? How will you overcome these difficulties
and challenges?
The major challenge is to make sure both our internal and external Clients are
satisfied with our Service. In addition getting to know people and get things
sorted is a difficulty that we face.
3. In your management of project teams, what steps did you take to insure that
project teams work effectively and efficiently?
To follow up with the teams and to be informed with the manager. We have
support manager, who update us with all necessary information to carry out our
works effectively.
Follow-up: Give us an example of a successful project team that you managed.
Example: Treasury Products, Investments in Global market.

Leadership
4. Why do you believe you are the best person for the role? Although somewhat
crude at a senior level, it is about the individuals ability to illustrate a clear view on
what they feel they can bring to the position.
I believe that my Technical skill and people skills as brought me to this position, I
have the ability to build rapport with the Clients and this particular skill makes it
easy for me to get the job well done. I feel that I do have the ability to meet u
with the deadlines.





5. How do you inspire others around you that are looking to fill your shoes?
To fill my role in this organization, I think you should have the technical skill,
ability to deal with Clients and Stakeholders. The inspiration that I can point out is
have the basic skill and knowledge, right personality and always look for
opportunities

6. When have you found recently that old solutions no longer work?
In our company everything is tailor made, sometimes you are able to replicate the
solutions, sometimes you cant, so this does not mean that the strategies we use
are wrong. Each Client have different requirement and as long your strategy fulfill
Clients requirement you win.

7. Describe a time where your team did not agree with your proposed course of
action, how did you manage that situation?

When it comes to team, Conflicts are a common thing. Yes, we do face a lot of
disagreements, and arguments between each managers. We deal this situation by
addressing their interest and considering each peoples needs.

Stakeholder management
8. How do you deal with underperforming peers who are impacting your business?
There is no much underperforming peers, since they conduct departmental
meetings very often and share the ideas and opinions, within the whole team.
The disagreements may occur where the three employees are responsible for
service informing or reporting directly to the head , where as other three
employees are responsible to implementation, hence, they may have
disagreements as they mention, opposite responsibilities are not done well.
Thereby they may find out who is performing well and who is performing under
the line and give suggestions and solutions during the meetings.

We done handle with social media


10. How have you balanced the short-term versus long-term demands of investors?
When it's to be seen on short term , the deutsche bank often handles with cash
payments by the customers, since the major part of the income is purely by the
fees, thereby the product are being sold to the customers are mainly through
system of electronic banking platform, by relying on the system, and thereby as a
result they get the payments, which is a short term process, but when is should
be seen in long term perspective they always thrive to hold the current customers
in future as well, without making them switching into a another bank


11. Whats the biggest risk you have ever taken? How did you mitigate this risk? Did it
pay off?
The highest risk which is possible is that taking a particular decision without
proper instructions regarding transactions, thereby the situation may force them
to take internal approvals within the heads and to complete the documents with
in the given time of period.




12. What are the most common reasons why change fails in most organizations?
The main change which could lead an organization to fail is that changing a
particular employee from one department to another department especially in
terms of sales. Since sales are one sensitive and essential component of business,
changing people from one department to sales department is not favorable,
therefore some organizations fail due to this reason.

Commerciality
13. Who do you view as a biggest competitive threat to your business? why?
In international terms the main competitors would be the City Bank and HSBC.
But the main competitors for Deutsche bank would be the local banks specially
the Bank of Ceylon and Pupils bank, the main reason why the local banks seem to
be the competing threat is that they have high coverage towards local entity ,
hence they tend to grab the market, the main aspect which makes them easy is
that they are flexible in getting approval since all the branches situated in one
region with number of heads. Where as in case of deutsche they always needs to
seek for the head office from another country to get permission and approvals,
hence not flexible compared to local banks.

General questions
14. Why do you feel you have succeeded?
The main strength to the bank is that right people with specialized technical skills.
The main evident which shows that Deutsche bank succeeded when other banks
failed, is that especially in global financial crisis period. When other banks tried to
get rid of people, the Deutsche bank stood because they had enough and
appropriate control and management to handle the situation unlike other banks.
This mainly defines the success










How did you manage the situation?


15. How do you ensure your teams are bought into your vision and company strategy?
The monthly meeting which often happens within the department will always
keep the employees on track, where the head of the department are being
informed by the senior management with their implementations of strategies and
visions. So as a result they define each individual's roles and duties, and how to
go along with the company's KPI's , hence the employees are very much keen and
clear on the strategies of the organization along with the vision to work
accordingly.
16. What are you going to do if you are unsuccessful in securing this role?
That is not possible, since the tasks and duties are well disciplined for each and
everyone to be successful along with co-workers who help to handle the work.
