These Standard Bidding Documents are to be used to prepare bidding documents for the
procurement of fi+ed rate contracts through "ompetitive Bidding ("B)(
These Standard Bidding Documents have been prepared based on the assumption that pre-
,ualification has ta'en place before bidding( The process of pre-,ualification shall follo& the
procedure indicated in the Standard Bidding Documents: Pre-Qualification Document:

This section- &hich ma include one or more Bills of 3uantities- shall contain an
itemi4ed description and listing of the ,uantities of &or's to be performed or
listing of the milestones to be completed( The ,uantities given in the Bill of
3uantities are estimated and provisional- based on the $mploer5s 6e,uirements
and the Dra&ings (set out in Sections I7 and 7)- and are given to enable bidders
to prepare priced bids( 8hen the contract has been entered into- the priced
Schedule of Prices &ill be used in the periodic valuation of &or's e+ecuted(

This section shall set out a description of the scope of the &or's to be designed
and constructed and shall present a clear statement of the re,uired standards for
materials- plant- supplies- and &or'manship to be provided( The $mploer
6e,uirements shall also present the environmental- health and safet re,uirements
to be satisfied b the contractor in designing and e+ecuting the &or's( The
