Academic Project

M.Tech Project:

"A comparative study of winter monsoon black carbon induced heating effect
between urban and regional environments" where effect of black carbon has been observed
on ice caps, on climate change and on health. In this study it has been also seen that how
meteorological parameters are affecting the concentration of black carbon. In this study it is
observed that it is the 2nd largest contributor of heat to the global warming after carbon dioxide.

B.Tech Projects

"Design, fabrication and experimental studies of Packed bed absorption column"
where it has been observed that how the various gas and liquid flow rate is affecting the overall
mass-transfer co-efficient and performance of absorption process.

Organization: IFFCO (Indian Farmers Fertilizer Co-operative Limited), Phulpur. Unit, Allahabad,
U.P

Duration: From June to July, 2011

Brief description: Indian Farmers Fertilizer Cooperative Limited, popularly known as IFFCO is
well known fertilizer company registered 3rd Nov. 1967. IFFCO is basically a fertilizer company
and its objective is the production of fertilizer and to supply it to Indian farmers through
Government societies. It is a cooperative society and today more than 36000 cooperative
societies are the members of it. IFFCO has been awarded ISO: 14001 for producing, marketing
of fertilizer, strengthening cooperatives &providing health services to farmers and also in ruler
community quality management. IFFCO is the largest fertilizer producer in India. It contributes
about 20% to total 'N' and 24% to the total 'P2O5' produced in the country.
This plant comprises of the following units:

Ammonia Plant
Urea Plant
Steam & Power Plant
Offsite Facilities ( Air & water purification process)
Bagging & Product handling
The deep knowledge of the following unit operation has given me a confidence to resolve
much arduous problems technically. Handling of waste water treatment, Air purification units
and water treatment units has strengthen my knowledge, which would help me in future.
