A welding procedure specification is made up of header data e.g. (WPS no., WPQR (PQR) no., customer and order
details), the general welding parameters (parent materials, seam geometry, welding position,...), the weld seam
sketch, welding sequence as well as the various passes together with their welding parameters.
The conclusion generates a possible heat treatment for the weld seam. Many of these parameters appear only in
conjunction with the respective welding process or current type.
The WPS can be viewed in the print preview at any time.
WPS list - Overview
By pressing [WPS] you open the WPS list, in which you can organize your welding procedure specifications.
By double clicking with the left mouse button in the appropriate line or by pressing the button [OPEN], you can open
an existing WPS. Several WPS (EN & ASME) can be open simultaneously.

Welding filler material selection:
Important note:
The suitability/approval of the welding filler material is to be verified in accordance with
appropriate authorities (e.g., TV, DNV, rail or ship classification bodies) or by means of process
certification.
The default specifications are in the nature of recommendations and do not release the user
from the responsibility to inform themselves of the correctness of the combination of parent and
welding filler materials, and of the application and processing of the selected welding filler.
Application of the data is entirely the responsibility of the end user. See also license conditions.
In order to simplify the search for the correct welding filler, this program contains a process dependant classification
of welding fillers according EN.
Example: if welding process 141 (TIG) is selected, only the TIG welding rods for the selected parent material will be
displayed to you if Parent materials 1 and 2 are identical.
After selecting a parent material, a table is displayed showing the possible welding fillers (WF) for this parent
material. Select the desired WF and expand this with additional necessary data.
If you have selected two different parent materials, all the WF in the data bank will be offered to you for selection.
You have the choice of entering the search criteria in the individual categories of the WF or, sorting the lists via the
column headings.
The filler materials are identified with the symbols ( ; ;.... etc.) to which one legend is allocated to each. Note
the information in these legends and check for suitability, application and restrictions.
