What’s Happening Around Town Answers to Questions on the Ranch

What a week! Blizzards are inconveniences;

however, it was a huge blessing for me to have
some time off from school! I trust you had a
wonderful time with your child at home as well!
Doesn’t it feel a little more like Christmas now
with all the snow, too?
We will be playing catch-up this next week in
addition to celebrating Christ’s birth with some
special activities! I will be doing some final test-
ing for data collection used to determine grades,
which will be coming out after the first of the
year! We also will do our best to begin reading
circles! While this work is important, there are
also several activities which we have the oppor-
tunity to participate in this week to celebrate
Christ’s birth. Below I’ve included the basic
details you need to know about next week!
Celebrating our Savior’s birth,

Monday, Dec. 14 -
- Your child needs to meet in my room at
6:45 p.m. The concert begins at 7 p.m.!
Friday, Dec. 18 -
- Your child needs to bring a wrapped new Cellular cards at school to enter us online for a
or VERY gently used book ($7 spending limit,
please) for our class Christmas gift exchange.
We will have our exchange Friday morning, and
our party will be from 11:30 - 12:30 on Friday after- together, we can accomplish much! Thank you
noon. Parents, siblings, and grandparents are
always welcome to attend!
A: Yes! Your child has been working hard to
prepare some special selections to praise our
King and Savior during this Christmas season!
Although the students will be wearing either a
shepherd’s hat or halo, this concert will be the
perfect opportunity to dress up! Your child
should arrive in our classroom no earlier and no
later than 6:45! You may get your seats, and
after your child has performed and the
concert is over, you may pick your son or
daughter up in our room! I look forward with
great anticipation to hear the good news of
Christ’s birth from the lips of your little one,
and I trust you will as well!
A: Yes, please collect Box Tops and Campbell
Soup labels, and send them with your child to
school! These labels help raise lots of money for
our school, so check your cans, boxes, and
other home products before throwing them
away! Also, consider picking up more U.S.
drawing to win $100,000! You do not need to
switch companies or sign up for a package with
U.S. Cellular in order to participate! If we work
for helping!
 A Bible Course Map for the Upcoming Week
Monday: Abraham sends his servant to find a
wife for Isaac, and his servant prays for wisdom.
Rebekah shows kindness to the servant and is
chosen by God to be Isaac’s bride. The servant
thanks God for His guidance, and we can too
(Gen.24:1-67). Recite letter M verse.
Tuesday: An angel announces the birth of John
to Zacharias and Elisabeth. John would help
prepare the way for the Lord by his preaching
and teaching (Luke 2:5-25).
Wednesday: The angel Gabriel is sent by God to
Mary to give her the news she will bear the Son of
God. Mary is listening and is ready and willing to
obey. Likewise, we should always be quick to
listen and ready to obey (Luke 1:25-38).
Thursday: Mary visits Elisabeth and praises God
for His work. Elisabeth gives birth to John.
Zacharias declares that John’s ministry will be to ing to bring snacks for the upcoming week! I
prepare the way for the Lord by preaching the
good news of Christ and His death and
resurrection (Luke 1:39-80).
Friday: Christ set aside His glory to come to earth cereal or a bag of pretzels does the trick and
as man and dwell among us. Our King and Savior
was a tiny baby born to Mary and Joseph in the
most humble circumstances (Luke 2:1-7).

Wonderful, Counselor, The Mighty God, The
Everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.”

Thanks to the Kruger family for volunteer-
really appreciate it! If you would be interest-
ed in taking another week (or part of a week)
for snacks, I would appreciate it! A box of
lasts quite a long time! Check outside the
door for a sign-up sheet if you are interested!

Thank you to those who served in the
Christmas store! Being my first year at ACA,
I had never experienced the Christmas store,
but I was truly amazed and wished I had the
opportunity to shop at a special Christmas
store when I was a child! In addition to these
volunteers, I want to thank all of you for your
help and encouragement in many “little” ways!
You are such a blessing!
