'f visa is re,uired to be stamped in Bangladesh for selected workers! the )mployer is re,uired to authorize #an 2ower
%ervices to recruit workers and apply for visa and to perform others formalities with the concerned authorities. $he 2ower
of ttorney should be attested by the (oreign #inistry of the host country and thereafter by the Bangladesh #ission0 4abour
ttachJ in that country. 'f a recruiting agent of a foreign country is willing to deal with #an 2ower %ervices! they should

B. Selection!
$he employer or his representative conduct interviews 0trade tests in order to select workers finally. $he #an 2ower
%ervices provides necessary logistic support such as issuance of interview cards! arranging interview + $est *ointly with
#2 $echnical $raining 'nstitute 8#2$$'9. t times #2% may also select workers if they are entrusted to do so by the
employer.
+. Medical E6amination!
$he 1andidates who are finally selected are sent for #edical )xamination to the appointed0 uthorized #edical 1enters.
=ormally they are medically examined at the centers appointed by the )mbassies of the employer?s country! or mutually
selected #edical centre by employer + #an 2ower %ervices.
,eparture Formalities
A. Passport!
'n most cases the applicants who are looking for employment abroad do have their passports. #2% also assist the selected
workers who do not have passport to obtain passport as ,uickly as possible. $here is provision for issuing passport on
urgent basis. $he character and antecedents of each person are being verified by the 2olice before issuing international
passport.
B. Application #or visa!
#an 2ower %ervices may apply for visa in case of block0bulk visa if the country in which the workers are traveling has an
)mbassy in Bangladesh. $his is the prevalent practice. $he employer may obtain =O10-ork 2ermit0>isa advice for the
selected workers. 'n case there is no )mbassy in Bangladesh of particular country! it is the responsibility of the )mployer to
obtain necessary visa for traveling + entry to his country.
+. ,icketing ' 7mmigration #ormalities!
$he employer may send 2$0 ).$icket for the employee or remit necessary traveling expenses in favour of #an 2ower
%ervices. 'f employers do not provide *oining air ticket! workers will pay for *oining air ticket. #2% will obtain 'mmigration
clearance form the concerned :ovt. 7epartments of Bangladesh + arrange ir $icket for the selected workers.
/. Brie#ing be#ore /epartre!
#an 2ower %ervices undertake the responsibility of providing basic orientation for traveling to foreign countries. $he
workers are informed about their duties and responsibilities and given first hand information on work environment! rules!
regulations and social + cultural tradition of that country. $hey are specially cautioned to maintain discipline and to follow
strictly $he rules and regulation of the company.
