Initial Policy
WC I understand that this is an intermediate class. Beginner skills will be only briefly covered. It
is expected that I have some experience with Office and have either passed the computer
assessment or taken INFT courses to supplement any gaps in my knowledge.
WC I understand that some assignments will require Office 2013 and that the c-lab computers
have the necessary software to complete my assignments.
WC I understand that my tests will be take home, closed-book tests and that I should not receive
any outside help on these tests. I will only use my brain to complete my tests.
WC I understand that the Final Exam will be an in-class, cumulative exam and that there are no
exemptions.
WC I understand that email is the best method for contacting my instructor.
WC I have read and understand the cheating policy:
In this course you may not share storage devices, data, or any information with another student. You should never have
access to another students file for any reason, not even just to look. You may not work together on assignments. All of
these scenarios are considered cheating. All work must come from your own fingertips, whether it is homework or tests.
If another student uses your files, you are also considered guilty of cheating. Guard your files so that your work is not
used by another student as you would also be penalized, even if your work is used against your knowledge. Do not share
computers. If you must use another students computer, set up a separate username and password so that your files are
kept completely separate at all times. Do not make the mistake of turning in another students file, even if it is
unintentional. If you are not sure if an action would be considered cheating, ask before you act. Any student who is
caught cheating will receive at the least an automatic course grade deduction for the first offense. For instance, if you
earn and A but have let another student look at your work, your course grade would be a B. A second offense or
multiple offenses occurring at the same time would result in an F for the course.
WC I understand the attendance policy as it relates to this class and will be sure to provide
documentation when I cannot attend class.
WC I understand that late work is not accepted (including tests). I should not wait until the last
few hours or the last day to complete my assignments (you have a week). Technical
problems or confusion with the assignment will not be considered as an excuse.
