- responsible for the processing of all request for laundry service, including
guestslaundry,employees uniforms and linen used for banquet function.
Laundry Manager/ supervisor
- usually manage the laundry section
Valet runner
- picks ups and delivers guest laundry
Sorter/ Marker-Sorter/ Marker-
- sorts, classifies and labels laundry items
Linen Attendant-
does the recording, storage and issuance of linen.
Washer-Washer-
responsible for washing and drying laundry items
Flat Ironer- Flat Ironer-
does the ironing
Steam Presser-Steam Presser-
performs steam pressing
Dry Cleaner-spotter- Dry Cleaner-spotter-
assigned to do dry cleaning and spot removal
Seamstress-Seamstress-
does mending of guest laundry or employees uniformsIn big hotels with
voluminous laundry job to be done,there is a rigid division of the labor with one
laundry staff concentrating in one task. However, if theestablishment is small and
has limited laundry job to attend to,it is not practical tohave too many laundry
staff.

I.Linen and Laundry Supervisor I.Linen and Laundry Supervisor --
directs, leads, monitors,and controls all activities covering linen and laundry
service.Duties and ResponsibilitiesDuties and ResponsibilitiesChecks quality of
laundry service.Ensures the proper use, storage and maintenance of linen and
laundry equipment, tools,and supplies.Checks condition of equipment.Maintains
par stock requirements.Initiates and supervises weekly inventory of laundry
supplies and other item.Sees to it that laundered items are delivered on time.Trains,
coaches and supervises his staff.Attends to complaints regarding linen and laundry
service.Performs other related duties as maybe assigned by superior.
II. Linen Attendant/ Custodian II. Linen Attendant/ Custodian--
stocks, stores,and issues employees uniform, linens, cleaning supplies,
guestroomand public area amenities.
Specific DutiesSpecific Duties
Responsible for the issuance of the uniforms as well as guestroom restaurant and
banquetlinen, cleaning materials, supplies as well as guestroom amenities.Records
and accounts for all issuances of guestroom amenities, uniform and linen usedfor
guestrooms, banquet and dining service.Reports to the supervisor missing articles,
losses, breakages, and damaged items in thelinen room.Assist the supervisor in
conducting inventories of linen, general supplies and uniforms.
