revie*ed to mae s#re they are effective'

3.1 #oti$a%le demolition work
Re54"ation 1-27 ) person cond#cting a b#siness or #ndertaing *ho proposes to carry o#t the
fo!!o*ing demo!ition *or m#st give *ritten notice to the reg#!ator at !east : days before any of
the fo!!o*ing *or commences5
demo!ition of a str#ct#re. or a part of a str#ct#re that is !oad bearing or other*ise re!ated to
the physica! integrity of the str#ct#re. that is at !east 6 metres in height
demo!ition *or invo!ving !oad shifting machinery on a s#spended f!oor. or
demo!ition *or invo!ving e2p!osives'
The height of a str#ct#re is meas#red from the !o*est !eve! of the gro#nd immediate!y ad1acent to
the base of the str#ct#re at the point at *hich the height is to be meas#red to its highest point'
The type of information *hich *o#!d norma!!y be inc!#ded in the notification *o#!d be5
the name and contact detai!s of the person cond#cting the b#siness or #ndertaing
if the high ris constr#ction *or is in connection *ith a constr#ction pro1ect. the name and
contact detai!s of the principa! contractor for the pro1ect or the principa! contractorIs
representative
the name and contact detai!s of the person direct!y s#pervising the *or
the date of the notice
the nat#re of the demo!ition

reasonab!y practicab!e before or d#ring the demo!ition *or. or if this is not reasonab!y practicab!e
after the demo!ition *or is carried o#t'
3.2 &rinci'al contractor
Where the va!#e of constr#ction *or is E2:0 000 or more. the constr#ction *or is considered a
,con%truction pro-ect. for *hich additiona! d#ties app!y to the principa! contractor' There can on!y be
one principa! contractor for a constr#ction pro1ect and this *i!! be either the person commissioning
the constr#ction *or or a person that is appointed as the principa! contractor by the person
commissioning the constr#ction *or'

preparing and revie*ing a W<( management p!an
obtaining (WM( before any high ris constr#ction *or commences

first aid. an emergency p!an and traffic management
insta!!ing signs sho*ing the principa! contactor,s name. contact detai!s and !ocation of any
site office. and
sec#ring the constr#ction *orp!ace'
0t is possib!e that the demo!ition contractor may be appointed as the principa! contractor' This may
