MAXIM INTEGRATED PRODUCTS, SUNNYVALE, CA 1997 2002
PRODUCTION AND OPERATIONS MANAGER, WAFER FABRICATION, SORT, AND FINAL TEST OPERATIONS
Controlled Burn-In area to enhance performance and pass all internal and external audit requirements.
Charged with managing programs on burn-in board, socket probe procurement, oven and equipment
repairs, calibrations, and various program upgrades.
I was the leader of the project of starting up a wafer sort facility for Maxim in Chandler, Arizona. The
project was completed on time and on budget. I coordinated cross-functional activities of R&D,
Engineering, Manufacturing, QA/ Reliability, Document Control, Finance and Facilities. I interviewed
and hired the technician staff and scheduled their training. I originated all purchase requisitions for
new equipment and transfer of existing equipment, as well as furnishings and facilities installations.
The addition of this facility improved Maxims test capacity and decreased the time-to-market for new
products in the power management device business unit.
Constructed and wrote programs that delivered pulsed signals to test samples during burn-in process.
In charge of inventory management of diffusion-related hardware, including quartz ware,
thermocouples, and furnace components.
Managed functions of wafer electrical testing, laser repair, and wafer sorting.
Recognized for performance and project completion for program and database management of wafer
sort yields at three domestic and one overseas wafer facilities.

CYPRESS SEMICONDUCTOR, SAN JOSE. CA 1990 1997
Sr. Supervisor, Wafer Fabrication & Production Manager, Wafer Sort
In my first project as a fab supervisor, I saved $1 million per year in reduced customer returns by revising the
specification governing material handler procedures, which resulted in fewer clerical device-option errors.
Drove the ramp up equipment capacity and operator headcount in 1995. I effectively controlled the inventory
of probe cards and other test hardware. As production manager, I supervised the functions of wafer electrical
testing, laser repair and wafer sorting. This 24/7 operation handled all wafers produced in Cypress San Jose
R&D facility.
Ensured to the timely delivery of manufacturing contracts worth $160 million in revenue over two years. This
was done while serving as the project manager and primary liaison with the major client, Quicklogic
Incorporated. I coordinated daily and met weekly with the Quicklogic V.P. of Manufacturing, scheduling and
prioritizing the flow of product through Cypress wafer fabrication and wafer sort areas.
