Highschool graduationyear =theyear inwhichthestudent graduatedfromhighschool. For example, astudent whograduatedbetweenSeptember 1, 2013 andAugust 31, 2014 graduatedinthe2013-2014 academic year.

Homeeducatedstudentswhoareunabletodocument acollege-preparatory curriculumandwishto earnanFMS award, must earna1070SAT or 23ACT; andasof 2013-14must earna1220SAT or 27ACT.

Extendedhoursof fundingareavailableto FAS andFMS recipientsinasingleprogramof study requiringmorethan120hours.

FAS & FMS scholarscompletingabaccalaureatedegreein2010-11or later within7semesters (or equivalent hours) or fewer, may receive1termof graduatefunding, upto 15semester hours, paidat theundergraduaterate.

Exceptionto themaximumnumber of yearsto beginreceivingfundingismadefor students whoareactivemilitary.

Students who areunableto completetheir programafter 5academic yearsdueto averifiableillnessor other documentedemergency may begranteda1-year extensiontotherenewal timeframe.

Theawardmay not berestoredif it waslost dueto insufficient hoursprior to the2009-10academic year.
