Know Your ABC’s…

To help you review for The Scarlet Letter, you will be working on an alphabet
review of the novel. In groups of 3-4 students, your teams will write a poem
using the letters of the alphabet to begin each new line. Poems may be
rhyming or non-rhyming. Each letter of your poem should stand for
something in The Scarlet Letter. See below:

EXAMPLE: from THE SCARLET LETTER

A is for the letter Hester wears upon her bossom.
B is for the Black Man who haunts the forest.
C is for Chillingworth who seeks his vengence.
D is for denial that Dimmesdale finds himself in.
E is for everyone who sins in this Boston community.
F is for failure to abide by God's laws.
G is for . . .

These alphabet reviews are due MONDAY!! We will then do a game where we
review for the test together, and your final test for Scarlet Letter will be
TUESDAY December 15th. We can also use Wednesday to finish the tests if we
need.
