Description Incoming inspection is an important activity, which has been carried out
upon making the GR. !ter making GR the material comes under
"uality and lot will get triggered. #his enables the "uality assurance to
inspect the lot and post the stock according to the usage decision.

raising the *+ !or item Cotton. I! the sample approved by Q, purchase raises *+ !or
bulk order against that vendor. !ter receipt o! the bulk lot, it needs to be inspected and
both results are compared !or any variations.

Currently purchase will hand over the sample to Quality ssurance !or approval,
along with $ample number.
Q will conduct the inspection and record the results. -ased on the results, manual
grading can be done and sample will be approved.
I! the sample is passed, the purchase order raised .against the mill/ as against the
approved vendor. Material will be supplied to the mill in batches i.e. 00 bales. Can
be 01 bales, 00bales, 21 bales, &11 bales per batch
Mill will send the random samples !or inspection .i.e. 3rom total 00 bales, every &1
bales one bale will be opened and sample will be drawn/ and mill will also ensure
that the originally vendor opened bale has been covered in the random sample
collection.
Q will inspect the Mill lot samples and results will be recorded.
ll the results i.e. sample results and Mill sample results will be made ready at the
time o! manual grading .Good, *lain, 4 Good etc/.
!ter manual grading, i! the Quality results are matching results will be stored and
it will be taken !or issue to the production.
I! the results are not matched during lot inspection a!ter GR, lots will be degraded
or re5ected and price negotiations will take place.
6uring GR certain characteristics which can not be done through the instrument
i.e., Moisture, 33, #rash etc. data will be recorded along with sample bale no7s to

Q create a inspection lot with separate inspection type and inspection plan. In that
inspection plan all the re"uired inspection characteristic o! cotton will be attached.
Q will conduct the inspection as per the inspection speci!ication. !ter inspection
o! the samples, results !eed into the system.
n <sage decision can be selected !or which plant the bulk lot has to be sent.
-ased upon the <sage decision, *urchase will raise the *+ !or that particular plant
on the approved vendor.
4endor supplies the cotton based the *+ to the particular plant. =hile making GR,
basic sample details will be veri!ied with Mill lot batch .00 bales/.
<pon making GR, Quality inspection lot will get triggered with di!!erent inspection
type and inspection plan. Q will pickup samples !rom 0 bales randomly and take
sample !rom the -asic bale, which had approved earlier. #his entire sample will be
sent to #est lab !or inspection.
-oth results are !eed into system. comparison report o! all three inspection results
will be taken out, in8order to ensure no variation in Mill lot cotton and the basic
sample lot which has been approved earlier.
usage decision will be taken based on the amount o! variation among the three
results.
Incase o! any suspicious inspection results can be re8inspected and new results can
be entered. change document !or the characteristic can be stored in the system.
