Registration Information

This is your official registration confirmation for the International Reading Association 59th Annual
Conference! The Conference & Exhibits will be held on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, May 10-12,
2014, and we're thrilled you'll be joining us.

Remember, the Institute Day on Friday, May 9, requires a separate paid registration that if
purchased will appear as a separate line item above in the registration details. New this year all
institute registrants will receive a unique name badge holder to be used on the Institute Day only.
You can replace the Institute Day badge holder with the Conference & Exhibits pocket badge holder
for the rest of the conference.

PROGRAM CONTENT: Be sure to view the outstanding professional development program waiting
for you and create a personalized itinerary to enhance your conference experience. Creating a
personalized itinerary does not guarantee entry to your selection so be sure to arrive early as rooms
are filled on a first come basis. Try and take advantage of downloading handouts where available to
bring with you to the conference.

GETTING THERE: The Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport (MSY) is located 13
miles from downtown NOLA (a 25-minute drive). Taxi service to the area runs approximately $33
USD for one or two passengers and $14 USD (each) for three or more. Airport Shuttle service is
available from the airport to downtown NOLA for $20 USD (per person, one way) or $38 USD (per
person, round trip). Advance reservations are recommended. For ADA accessible transfers,
reservations are required 48 hours prior to travel; please call in advance to reserve the specially
equipped shuttle.

MAPS & DIRECTIONS: Click here to visit the New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center and
get information about parking, general driving directions, and a destination address for GPS or
online mapping.

IRA SHUTTLES: IRA provides complimentary shuttle service between most official conference
hotels and the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center. Schedules will be available on-site and in the
lobbies of hotels on the official scheduled route. Buses are equipped with wheelchair lifts and will be
available by calling the number listed on the bus schedule brochure. Please call at least 60 minutes
ahead to be sure we are able to fully accommodate your needs.

I NEED A HOTEL! IRA partners with Convention Management Resources (CMR) for hotel
reservations. The quickest and easiest way to reserve a hotel room is online. Customer Service
agents are available at888-294-9167 or 415-979-2278, Monday through Friday, 9 AM-9 PM EST.

I'M HERE-WHERE DO I GO? Once you arrive at the convention center, please proceed to Hall D,
which is a straight shot from the bus shuttle drop off at Gate 10, to check-in. Look for "Attendee
Badge Pick-Up Scan & Go" to scan your barcoded e-mail confirmation letter or use your handy
smartphone to scan the barcode or simply type in your last/first name from the keypad on the
counter. Once this is completed, our friendly staff will hand you your printed name badge, any
purchased tickets, badge holder(s), a program book, and a tote bag. It's that easy and fast!

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR? You'll be doing a lot of learning and networking, so business casual
dress is a must. You'll also be doing a lot of walking, down the Exhibit Hall aisles and to the many
professional development sessions, so make sure to wear comfortable shoes!

CANCELLATIONS/REFUNDS: All registration cancellation and refund requests must be made in
writing by April 28, 2014. A refund (minus a $75 cancellation fee), will be given for written requests
received by that date. If you need to make partial changes to your processed registration, click on
the link at the end of this confirmation. No refunds will be granted for requests postmarked after April
28, or for no-shows. Written notifications must be sent by the deadline to IRAReg@cmrus.com OR
