Session 1God is CREATOR
Genesis 1
Let there be light . . . Four words spoken in a void and empty
space that was to become the glory of Gods creation. And so it
began. Over the next fve days, God separated ground and sky
waters, formed dry land, set the growing cycles in motion, and
created animals. He looked over it all and saw it was good. But His
best work was yet to come.
The creation of people was Gods ultimate purpose, and He created
us in His own image. That includes ALL of usit includes you. It
includes the child whose frustrated tantrums test the limits of your
patience. It includes the parent who seems to question even your
best efforts. The person who snaps at you for no reason. The guy
who cut you off in traffc this morning. It includes ALL of us.
Today, make an extra effort to see God in those around you. Look
for the good. Search out the positive, the potential, the promise.
And look for the good in you too! Even on your worst days, its
there. God says you are VERY goodand your CREATOR knows
what Hes talking about.

Session 2God is PROVIDER
1 Kings 17
As Gods prophet, Elijah had the job of delivering Gods messages
to His people. When King Ahab heard that there would be no rain
for the next few years, he was not happy. To escape Ahabs wrath,
God led Elijah to hide in a ravine. Elijah drank from the stream
there, and twice a day, God sent ravens to bring him food. When
the stream dried up, God led Elijah to an unlikely place to meet an
unlikely person. A widow shared her last measure of four and oil
to make bread for Elijah. Day after day, she did the same, and there
was always more. Using scavenger birds and a poor widow, God
cared for His servant.
And He cares for you too, even when things seem so very
uncertain. Surely Elijah had questionseven doubtswhen he
headed off into the wilderness. But imagine his amazement when
ravens went against their natural instincts in order to give him the
nourishment he needed! Imagine his wonder when, day after day,
jars of four and oil were miraculously replenished!
God honored Elijahs faith. And Hell honor yours too. Whatever
worries are stealing your joy today, give them to God. You may not
see it now, but your PROVIDER has a plan. Trust Him.

Session 3God is PROTECTOR
Daniel 6
Daniel had an important role serving King Darius. Some of the
kings offcials were jealous and plotted to get rid of Daniel at any
cost. Everyone knew that Daniel prayed to God three times a day.
So the kings offcials got a law passed, making it illegal to pray to
anyone except King Darius. As punishment for breaking the new
law, Daniel was thrown into a den of lions. The next morning the
king hurried to the den, to fnd Daniel unharmed. Now the king
made a new laweveryone was to worship Daniels God, the one,
true, living God.
Daniel had an important choice to make. And really, he had several
options. He could have prayed in secret. He could have prayed
silently. He could have stopped praying for a week or so. But none
of these options gave God the honor Daniel knew He deserved.
They were second-rate substitutes. In fact, they werent options at
all.
Today, dont settle for second-rate substitutes, toned-down
convictions, or muted messages. Let your faith be bold and your
example, courageous. Live as one who knows God is in control.
Place your confdence in Daniels PROTECTORand yours.

Session 4God is SAVIOR
John 3, 19, & 20
It was fnished. Jesus was dead. Crucifed, buried, and gone
for goodor so they thought. Three days later, under cover of
darkness, Mary Magdalene went to the tomb to fnd the stone had
been moved! Not knowing what to believe, she brought Peter and
John to the tomb. Inside, they found Jesus grave clothes, but their
Master was gone.
The men went home, disheartened. But Mary stayed and wept.
As she did, she was addressed by a familiar voice. Perhaps too
distraught to think clearly, perhaps blinded by the tears in her eyes,
Mary didnt realize who was speaking to her. But then Jesus spoke
her name, and her life changed forever.
Do you remember when Jesus frst spoke your name? Not out loud,
of course, but have you heard Him whisper? Maybe through the
words of a song or the embrace of a friend. Maybe in a Scripture
that suddenly took on new meaning. Maybe it was just a feeling
you had during the stillness of prayer. But you knew it was Him,
calling out to comfort you, to reassure you, to give you the peace
you so desperately needed.
We all need that peace. The peace that comes with knowing we
belong to God and nothing can ever change that. The peace that
assures us that, no matter what happens today, better things are
in store. The peace that reminds us that our failures, mistakes,
and brokenness dont matter anymore. Today, you have the
opportunitythe responsibilityto share that peace with the
children you encounter. Our SAVIOR lives, and that changes
everything.

Session 5God is KING
John 14; Revelation 1, 4, 21, & 22
While banished to the island of Patmos, John received a vision
from God. John wrote down everything he saw and heard, so that
we could all have a glimpse of Heavens glory. John saw many
beautiful things beyond our human imaginationsa new Heaven
and a new earth, the river of life, the throne of God, the tree of life.
But even more wonderful are the things John didnt see in
Heavenno crying, no pain, no tears or sadness or anger or hatred
or jealousy or disappointment. No insecurities. No guilt. No regret.
No broken relationships or wounded hearts. No sleepless nights or
painful memories. Only good. Only God. Its impossible to fully
comprehend even the idea of such a place. This life holds such
struggle, such heartache, such hurts. But Heaven is a promise from
God, an undeserved reward designed for those who love Him. Not
those who have lived perfect lives. Not those who have proven
their worth or earned their spot before Gods throne.
Today, extend to others that same grace the KING has so
generously given you. This side of Heaven, its one of the best gifts
we can give.
