PREFACE

The M.B.A programme is well structured and integrated course. The main objective of practical
training at MBA level is to develop skill in student by supplement to the theoretical management
study.

A man can become perfect with a perfect knowledge and experience. As a student of business
administration, we have studied many theories in the classroom but any professional degree is
incomplete without practical knowledge of concerned field.I have experienced and understood
the practical importance of these theories on this training.

I am student of MBA programme. Students have to prepare winter project for partial fulfillment
of award of MBA degree so we have to undergo analysis project for a particular organization in
winter project as on subject.
Industrial training helps to gain real life knowledge about the industrial environment and
business practice. The student M.B.A programme is required to visit industry for practical
training and practical knowledge as part of course fortunately; I received an opportunity to visit
DUDHSAGAR DAIRY, to prepare a report on whole information.

I have persistently kept in our mind the need to focus on what is useful and practical instead of
being theoretical. I am presenting what I believe to be necessary for project report.

I have tried my best to grasp more from the visit and present the same in this project report.

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

Pract i ce makes a man perfect .

This training provides a golden opportunity to the students for getting a perfect knowledge and
experience. During the training I came to know how actual is the world of marketing and we
should have some extra skills to be theleader. As a part of my learning in management field and
requirement of MBAprogramme, I have been given an opportunity to grab practical knowledge
in the area of marketing and I had selected MEHSANA DISTRICT CO-OPERATIVE MILK
PRODUCERS UNION LTD. I have made my best efforts to get knowledge and experience.
During this training, I had collected necessary information, and I present all the necessary
information to understanduntil well.

The production function of a business is concerned with the relation of product or services
require satisfying customers needs and desired. It is related to increase demand of the product.
Production will be considered two purposes i.e. it must operate an economical and efficient
manner because cost of production is a vital factor Production means creation of utilities and all
the activities of procurement allocation and utilization of resources. Such as labor, energy,
materials, equipment, machinery etc. utilities and goods and services which have satisfying
powers, marketing research enables the enterprise to determine the character at output at utilities.

Marketing function is so basic that it can be considered as a separate function. The success of
business is determined not by the customer. Marketing function is having own different
significance in business and organization by marketing the customers can able to purchase the
goods and services and can satisfy their needs and wants the seller of producer can be able to get
profit by selling &services. Marketing is also helpful on determining the price of goods.

The personnel function is important of any other management function because a good personnel
policy of an organization ensures it of availability of the required type of employees and the
removal of any disputes arising among the management and the employees. There are 500

employees working in the plant. As the plant is fully automatic the employees requirement is
less compared to other dairies. The machines are imported so the employees should be skilled
enough to handle them. These are 170 technicians, 110 staff and 230 trainees with average age of
23 years.
Financial function refers to all activities which concern with planning. Raising and controlling
the funds and used in the business organization.It is an applied branch at general management. It
looks after the financial function of the business; it closely related with production, Marketing
and personnel function. It has to plan, organize and control the financial manager is planning and
the funds. So business financial deals primary with raising administrator and utilization of funds
in the unit.
