Abdullah Mahmud, Ibn Jamaa’s Tankih al-Munazara fi tashihi al-Mukhabara. Ibn


Jamaa‘ (1241-1333 A.D./ 639-733 A.H.) was the chief justice of Egypt and a great
scholar in Islamic sciences of his period. Mahmud Abdullah wrote a master thesis
in Panjab University on Ibn Jamaa’s this book that Ibn Jamaa‘ had written this
study in the year of 1304 A.D. after demand of Egypt’s ruler Malik al-Nasir. This
study is about agricultural cooperation (partnership) in Islamic law

Ghazzal Zouhair. He is the faculty member of Loyola University of Chicago and


gives course social and economic history of early and medieval Islam. Contents of
his web site are very vast for Islamic economics history. Ghazzal gave a lecture
as From Political Economy to Textual Analysis: Greater Syria in Contemporary
Ottoman Historiography, in July 16, 2008, in the Cultural Heritage Museum of
(Istanbul) Bogazici University. Professor Ghazzal’s studies: Political Economy of
