Thank you for taking the Swayam Personality Assessment test!
The interpretations in this report cannot be read in isolation, but should be read in conjunction with each other for a complete and holistic
understanding of you as a person with many layers and facets to your personality. The analyses are sensitive to mood disturbances, if any, that you were
undergoing while answering the tests. There might be some traits that are contradictory to each other, but these are an essential and integral part of any
personality and are "quirks" that define you as a unique individual and are not mistakes or aberrations in your personality or its analyses being conducted
herein. This is an algorithm based computer generated analysis. Hence some finer points of your personality may not be represented.
Swayam Personality Assessment
The information about a person's personality as said in this report is not a medical certification of weak or negative points or strengths and their
implications thereon. Further this report is not a documentary evidence of a person's qualification/disqualification in professional/ personal/ marital life
and is only a personal help information.
SPA has been developed on scales to assess personality, taking into account the physical,
psychological, and spiritual aspects of the individual , namely the Tridoshas and Trigunas. Both the
Tridoshas and Trigunas are composed of the Pancha Mahabhutas, namely Akasha (Ether), Vayu (Air),
Agni (Fire), Ap (Water) and Prithvi (Earth); in differing combinations and permutations. All are essential
to sustain life.
The English names given next to the Sanskrit names are somewhat equivalent to what they mean
technically. They cannot be taken to be a translation and there are many other meanings and layers to
the personality being described which is lost in translation. So these English names are just a broad
indicator of the kind of personality that it would signify and are not exact defining names, for example
as in Botanical names.

A dosha is one of three bodily humors
that make up one's constitution according
to Ayurveda. The central concept of
Ayurvedic medicine is the theory that
health exists when there is a balance
between three fundamental bodily
humours or doshas called Vata, Pitta and
Kapha, refered to as Tridoshas (Tri =
three). Vata is Ether and Air element,
Pitta is the Fire element and Kapha is
Water/ Earth element. (The element
referred to here is a generic term and not
comparable to the term as used in
chemistry or other sciences).
Whatever dosha combination you are
born with is your Prakriti or state of
health and nature. In equilibrium, the
three doshas preserve the body (and the
mind), whatever the combination is your
state of health. Any disturbance in this
equilibrium will create ill-health.

Trigunas
Just as the doshas are the essential
components of the body, the three gunas
- Sattva, Rajas and Tamas - are the three
essential components or energies of the
mind.
Ayurveda provides a distinct description of
people on the basis of their Manasa
(psychological) Prakriti (constitution).
Genetically determined, these
psychological characteristics are
dependent on the relative dominance of
the three gunas.
While all individuals have mixed amounts
of the three, the predominant guna
determines an individual's Manasa Prakriti
(psychological constitution). In
equilibrium, the three gunas preserve the
mind (and the body), maintaining it in a
healthy state. Any disturbance in this
equilibrium results in various types of
disorders.
