Hello Manu and Mohitt,

I hope that all is well and that you have recovered from the Carnival celebrations and
the wedding anniversaries.
I had a meeting with Mohammed Mustapha, the CEO of Hypertech Group in regards
to his pet proect the !"O#IC$ %evelopment Hubs& please see the meeting notes
below.
Meeting Notes 29.08.13

Re. Hypertech BPO Centres

Attendance: Mohammed Mustapha (MM); Fola Odetoyinbo (FO)

MM Outlined the high demand for the service in Nigeria as public service requirements alone
would (a planned primary marketing target) keep the centres busy. At present none of Nigeria s
emergency services, security, communications, health, education, ministries at national, state or
local government level had a voice or data centre coverage. Yet many of them acknowledged the
need for such a service.

MM Outlined Hypertechs phased rollout plan for the following;

HQ Centre to be built frst in Abuja 500-1000 seat centre on 5-6 foors

6 Regional centres one in each geo-political zone. To be sited near or on premier university
campuses so one can take advantage of 1. the recruit the best minds; 2. gain a constant source
of recruits; 3. develop ICT Hubs which would act as incubators which would help support the
centres and further innovative technologies. The centres would initially have up to 500 seats and
eventually expand possibly to 1000 seats.

State Centres one in every state once again located on or near a university campus. Each centre
would have 300-500 seats.

Discussion covered the following;

Partnership - FO needed to respond with his partys level of involvement. This would
eventually determine such things as equity split once it could be determined what one was
bringing to the table.
Where would Pumasource/Pinnacle ft in? Would they oversee training, technology, operations
management; could they source funding, etc.

- MM would focus on overseeing the management of the centres and marketing them, coupled
with driving the overall growth of the business.

Business Plan/Studies - MM highlighted that one had been prepared though it needed
further development. He planned to send a soft copy to FO.

Timing - FO to prepare a conceptual note and gauge his partys level of appetite and then
arrange a group call as time was of the essence.

Technology - MM had already had chats with Huawei, though FO said his team might suggest
other partners and that one needed to obtain proposals from 3-4 manufacturers.

MM highlighted that Huawei could ofer a great deal of support as they had an established base in
Nigeria .

Design - Internal spaces would be fexible and FO intended to consult with his team on
the best approach.

External Hypertech have already commissioned conceptual designs of all the
centres. Part of the marketing strategy is to produce state of the art, modern designs which herald
this industry leading company ofering a best of breed much needed service. In Nigeria this need
to belong would go a great way to attracting future clients.

Construction- Materials - FO suggested utilising a new steel technology which would save cost
and construction time. FO needs to examine its feasibility versus use with a curtain wall glazing
system.

Funding - FO Outlined both Google and Microsoft as possible funders (as they have
specifc Africa focused tech funds) and that he had access to other funders. MM also wanted to
ascertain if other members of FOs team might be able to attract fnanciers to the project.

8eries of events have been unfolding since the beginning of the year as a result of
the resolve of the contract employees of the M$' ?os Call Centre under the
management of C'88: 3Communications 'etwor( 8upport 8ervices :imited5 to
discontinue the enslavement and victimiBation as being perpetrated by C'88: 3a Call
Centre contractor to M$'5 right under the watchful eyes of M$' 'igeria by
demanding harmoniBation of our salary and other welfare pac(age with that of other
Call Centers across the country under the same management company 3C'88:5,
which has now culminated in the disengagement of all .,7-- employees of the Call
Centre.
$his is the picture of our struggle ) C'88: started operations in ?os with its
management of the M$' ?os Call Centre in ?uly ,-.- as its Crst, before the recent
ta(e+over of all M$' Call Centers across the nation from MEMCO8. C'88: recruited
graduates 3!8c and H'% holders5 as Call Center =epresentative /gents on a 8alary of
'D7,---#month 3with assurances that the salary would be doubled after a
probationary period of Emonths. !ut to our surprise, only a meager addition to
'.,4-- was made to our salary upon conCrmation to ma(e a total of 'D4,,--, which
is in contrast to the 'FE,D-- received by Gaduna, Gano H
:agos M$' Call Center =epresentatives under the same C'88: management. $his
continued for almost ,years with intense victimiBation of staIs 3who were never

:abour Congress 3':C5, later 'igerian <nion of "ostal and $elecommunications
Employees 3'<"$E5 and the conse1uent unioniBation of the call centre employees.
In spite of this, our demand even under these umbrella bodies for harmoniBation of
the wor(ers welfare was met with stiI resistance by the Management of C'88: in the

C'88:5 to mention few, leading to Crst, the undue and deceptive closure of the Call
Centre on the D-th of /pril, ,-., under the false pretence of JfumigationK and later
JinsecurityK.
However, the truth was that the Management shut down operations when they got
the wind that the staIs would be embar(ing on a massive rally, an e6posL on the .st
of May, ,-., 39or(ers0 %ay5, therefore, the shutdown was in a bid to discourage the
rally but which unfortunately to C'88: was successful from our processions at the
Call Center down to the 8tadium 3video and audio clips available5.
>inally, when all discussions between C'88: and the ':C and '<"$E towards
harmoniBation was not in favour of the C'88:, the Management 3C'88:5 in
conunction with some arrant and misguided M$' 'igeria e6ecutives 3such as >unmi
Omogbenigun + GM, M$' Corporate /Iairs and others5 decided to wind down the
operations of the ?os Call Center and the disengagement of over .,7-- employees
3who have been at home for Dmonths5 under the guise of JinsecurityK as published in
the $HI8%/@ H "<'CH national dailies of D.st ?uly, ,-.,. However, it is worthy of
note, that the Call Centre was actually shut due to the resolve of the staIs who have
been enslaved for ,years to stand up in demanding for harmoniBation 3threads also
available on the internet5.
!elow one will Cnd some of the oMces of government at >ederal level, on top of this
are DE state government operations. Mohammed0s real strength is that he has a huge
networ( of government contacts from the presidency downwards& and can sell the
