Which one of these characteristics do you think is the most important, and why?
In my opinion, one of the most important characteristics is being a good role model to other students of the school. As a senior student being a good role model to the younger students is a critical as the younger students follow the example of the older students. If a leader doesnt set good standards, it will have a negative effect on others of the school.
Personal Qualities Describe one experience you have had as a leader and how it enhanced you as a person. One experience that I have had as leader was being House captain of my primary school in Year 6. I believe this role made me a more dedicated, passionate and more confident as a person. I enjoyed organizing events for the school, getting to know other students from across the years and getting more involved with the school. I think these skills I developed as a year 6 student will definitely assist me if I am elected as leader in 2015.
Contribution to the School Describe an area in which you have made a contribution to the secondary school.
One area that I have made contribution to the secondary school is my involvement in sport. I have been involved in Ravenswood sport since Year 7. Over the years I have participated in various Ravenswood sports including football, softball, cross-country, basketball, athletics, hockey, tennis and touch football. I have represented the school in various IGSSA and CIS sporting teams also. I love how at ravenswood everyone is encouraged to give sport a go no matter their ability. Sport is an important part of the Ravenswood spirit as it promotes team work, friendship and sportsmanship.
If you were elected as a Leader, how would you further contribute to the school? If I was elected as a leader I would strive my best to make the school a better place for students, teachers and parents. I would further contribute to the school by trying to get as many students as possible involved in the school life and co- curricular activities. I would encourage all students to give things a go no matter the skill level they are at. Ravenswood has various opportunities for students, whether it be debating, sport, performing arts girls should take advantage of these chances and give things a try!
