Pastors Notes:

But ye shall receive power,

after that the Holy Ghost is come
upon you: and ye shall be
witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all
Judaea, and in Samaria and unto the uttermost part of the earth. These are the words of Jesus. He
had told them all along that He would be sending another Comforter. I believe that we need a
resurgence of the Holy Ghost!!!!! The last 2 Sunday nights, the Lord has met people where they
were when they went after a greater anointing of His Spirit. Weve had people filled with the Holy
Ghost and refilled. Were you there? Were you there to hear the sermon, were you there to see the
Holy Ghost manifest Himself? Were you there in the altar going after God for yourself? I just want
to encourage you to not miss any service that the church offers. Why? Listen to what the Holy
Ghost said Sunday night: HEAR ME, FOR THE WORDS I TELL YOU ARE FAI THFUL
AND TRUE. PERI LOUS TI MES LI E BEFOREYOU. YOU NEED THIS GI FT I HAVE
GI VEN TO YOU. YOU NEED THE POWER AND J OY OF THE HOLY GHOST. I HAVE
GI VEN THI S GI FT SO YOU MI GHT BE ABLE TO STAND AND DO THE WORK I HAVE
SET BEFORE YOU. I HAVE GI VEN YOU THE SPI RI T OF LOVE, OF POWER, AND OF
A SOUND MI ND. BE STRONG I N THE LORD AND THE POWER OF MY MI GHT.
RECEI VE THI S GI FT. CLI NG TO THI S GI FT. RECEI VE THI S GI FT OF THE HOLY
GHOST THAT I HAVE GIVEN YOU.

Did you get what the Holy Ghost said? Perilous times lie before you. YOU NEED THIS GIFT
THAT I HAVE GIVEN TO YOU.. WOW! What a loving God that would prepare us for what is
ahead by both giving us warning and providing what we need. You and I need the power of the Holy
Ghost in our lives. We need the Word of God in our lives. We need a current, up to date devotional
time with the Lord. Do you have all that? These things are key to surviving and defeating perilous
times. PLEASE, be careful about church attendance and make sure that you are full of the Holy
Ghost. If the Lord allows, I will be talking about the Holy Ghost all during the month of October on
Sunday nights. Hope to see you there!!!!!!

There will be an informational meeting concerning a Mission Trip to Honduras in the Spring of 2015.
If you would be interested in going or would at least like to know more information about it, then
plan on meeting with us on Tuesday evening, October 21 at 7:00 PM in the dining room. There will
be coffee and pastries to enjoy while we discuss. We may also explore the option of changing our
trip date as well, so come if you have any interest at all. Bendiciones!

You still can pick up a missions bag in the lobby. They are on the desks in the foyer. The money
this year will go towards our building fund. That also means that we will need people to help us
contribute to missions through your tithe envelope. Mark it either general missions or wherever you
would like for it to go. Your gifts towards Honduras or Jamaica will enable us to use those funds

specifically for those projects when our people go on the missions trips next year. Thank you in
advance for what will be done for the BUILDING FUND through those missions bags!!!!!

Baptism and Communion Service, Sunday night, November 2 at 6:00 PM. If you need to be
baptized, please call the church office and give your name to Andrea (476-2977).

Some instructions for Ustream (the live streaming of our services). Right now our website is
down due to it being hacked. There is a link on the Under Construction page of the website
that goes to the Ustream page for Woodruff Church of God. Some had trouble accessing it
Sunday and we apologize for that. There were some popup setting that were changed to try
to fix that situation. You can always type in your browser Ustream.com and in the search line
type Woodruff Church of God. Also, if you have subscribed to Woodruff Church of God
through Ustream, you should be getting emails when the feed goes live. You can also click
from the email and get to the service. You can also go and watch after the service is over. It is
recorded and can be found there. Thank you for those who want to watch while youre sick or
out of town. It is nothing like being here LIVE AND IN PERSON, but it is good to be
connected to your church!

We are now on the radio here in Woodruff!!!!! WQUL has offered us the
12:00-1:00 PM slot on Sunday after church. What an opportunity to let
the gospel be heard from the greatest church in Woodruff!!!!! Tune in on
your way home and let us know what you think. You can also listen to
the radio station online as well. God to the app store and download an
app called TuneIn Radio. In the search button type WQUL and pick
that station. From there you can listen on your phone, ipad, computer.

The choir will wear PINK on Sunday.

This Sunday is Pink Sunday. This is the day we bring awareness to Breast Cancer. We are asking
everyone to wear pink. We will recognize all Breast Cancer Survivors. All ladies over the age of
18 will receive a "Pink Gift."

Toy Closet: Thanks to all the Sunday School classes and Departments that purchased the specific
items we requested. Those items were to be turned in by the end of September. The following is
what we still lack:
Hats and gloves---Boys and girls (small-large)
Boys underwear---(small-large)
Novelty T-shirts---Boys and girls (small-large)

We really need items for pre-teen and teen boys and girls. We need items like:
Perfume/Cologne
Purses/Wallets
Movies/DVDs
Boardgames
Jewelry (Boys and Girls)

We need the Toy Closet fully stocked by Mid November. This year our Toy Closet will be open on
the night of our program "Miracle on Poole Street" and all Toy Closet recipients are required to
attend "Miracle on Poole Street." The children will be occupied while the parents visit the Toy
Closet. That way we not only help them with Christmas but we make sure they get a nice meal,
hear the Word of God, experience the love of the WCOG, and possibly win many more gifts and
prizes. We want them to leave with their stomachs full, their hearts full and their hands full.
If you have already purchased the items for young kids, we will certainly use them.

Comforting Hearts Meals: Our food fund is very low. If you are down to give money to this
ministry, please do so as soon as possible. Also, a great big "Thank you" to all who are so faithful
to give, prepare food and serve in this important ministry.

We had a great time at our Band of Brothers meeting this past Thursday! If you werent there,
you definitely missed out. Make plans now to join us next month on November 6th at 6:30!

JOY CLUB:
Our October meeting is set for Oct. 23 and the sign-up sheet is on the bulletin board in the
main hallway. Please go by this week and sign up on both the attendance and the food sheets.

Please note: There has been some opposition to changing the time from 6:30 to 6 PM and we
want to do nothing that will hinder some of our people from attending these meetings. We
have a number of our members who are still working and they would be affected by the time
change. Therefore, we will continue our meetings at 6:30 PM until further notice. Thank you
for your understanding. We look forward to a great time in our meeting this month.
