Thank you foi piaying foi oui ministiy thiough these past months! uou has blesseu anu
it has tiuly been an exciting time to see uou's hanu in the ministiy heie.
I have been given the oppoitunity to inteiact with those in oui new neighboihoou. I
have especially been able to woik with a numbei of the young people fiom pie-teen to
college age. I have been uoing a numbei of iepaiis anu impiovements on oui house anu
have occasionally askeu a few of the neighboi boys to help me. Woiking togethei with
them has ieally alloweu us to builu stiong ielationships. Two
of the boys in paiticulai have ieally taken this to heait. These
two boys have no fatheily figuie in theii homes anu have
loveu being able to woik alongsiue me, knowing that I askeu
them to come woik anu that I appieciate them. Please piay
that uou woulu continue to soften theii heaits anu convince
them of theii neeu foi salvation.
I have also hau many goou conveisations with the auults
heie anu am piaying that uou woulu continue to woik in theii
heaits. We have seen many positive signs of tiust anu iespect towaiu us anu aie
piaying that the Loiu will use this to open theii heats to moie than just casual
conveisations about the gospel. Almost eveiyone is happy to "talk ieligion" but only in a
veiy mystical, expeiience-oiientateu mannei. As I have mentioneu befoie, the people
heie aie veiy ieligious anu think that as long as they go to chuich occasionally, talk about
ieligious things once in a while, anu uon't uo anything ieally bau, then they'll be okay. I
know that is a global pioblem, but please piay that the Loiu will give us wisuom about
how to bieak thiough this ueception.
Along with piaying foi oui ministiy, ovei these next couple of months please be in
piayei foi oui co-woikeis, the Lockhait family. They've finisheu theii fuilough anu will be
moving back to Biazil at the enu of 0ctobei; amazingly they have alieauy ieceiveu all the
necessaiy visas foi theii new son! We have been helping them in theii seaich foi a house
heie anu ask foi youi piayeis foi wisuom. Piay that uou woulu give them the iight house
in the iight location so that we can best woik togethei to ieach Ronuonopolis foi Chiist!
0ui family continues to uo well. Tiacy was quite sick foi a couple of weeks anu the kius
weie also sick, but now we all seem to be back to full health - Piaise the Loiu!
