The khutbah discusses the obligation of dutifulness to parents in Islam. It cites Quranic verses and hadith that emphasize the importance of treating parents well during their lifetime and after their death. The khutbah argues that dutifulness to parents is a religious duty in Islam, and is even ranked above acts like jihad by some hadith. It stresses that prophets and pious believers highly respected their parents. The khutbah encourages Muslims to fulfill their duty toward their parents through humility, gratitude and good treatment of them.
