Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 3 year of relevant experience preferable from a EPC / Engineering
organisation in Oil & Gas / Power Industry.
Operate as part of a team of engineers and designers in carrying out FEED, Proposal and detailed engineering works and provide
necessary technical information in compliance with tender specifications/data sheets and within budgeted man-hour and project
schedules.
Participate in the review of the ITB (Invitation To Bid) documents received in the proposals stage, issue inquiry requisitions, review
techno-commercial vendor offers, prepare equipment, material estimates.
Participate in the review of contract requirements for project execution, provide inputs for the preparation of the Technical
Document Register (TDR), identify requirements and scope of work; review specifications and Data Sheets, Single Line Diagrams
(SLDs), Control Wiring Diagrams, Control logics, Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID's), Plot plans, General Arrangement
(GA) drawings, system architecture drawing, Review Philosophies, Area Classification Drawings and other relevant documents.
Establish contract review criteria, identify and resolve discrepancies and divergences from original proposal.
Prepare the design basis, single line-diagrams, equipment and cable sizing calculations and other material and equipment analysis
for client approval. Prepare short circuit load flow, voltage dip study report using ETAP software. Perform design calculations for
earthing, lightning protection, lighting, relay settings etc.
Perform detailed engineering calculations and drawings including the preparation/ review of Single Line Diagrams, Schematic
Diagrams, Logic Diagrams, Cable Schedules and Cable Drum Schedules, Interconnection Schedules, Relay Coordination Drawings
and other required documents.. Guide designers and review equipment Lay-outs, Cable Routing and Lay-out Drawings, Cable
Trench/Tray Lay-out Drawings, Lighting System Lay-out and Details, Earthing/Lighting System Lay-out and Details, Heat Tracing
Lay-out and Details, Installation Standard Drawings. Perform/ check material take-off activities.
Prepare technical inquiry requests (Inquiry Requisitions) to vendors, participate in the technical evaluation of vendor bid offers.
Perform Technical Bid Evaluations (TBE), review vendor drawings and documents. Ensure vendor equipment specifications meet
with client equipment specifications. Prepare Purchase Requisitions for the procurement of equipment and materials.
Organize the issuance of engineering drawings and technical documents for Inter-Discipline Checks (IDC's) coordinate with other
engineering discipline in the integration of technical data inputs.
Ensure conformity of designs and layouts in accordance to Company Engineering procedures and Quality Standards. Coordinate
for uploading documents into Documentum, maintain and archive IDC's, originals, check prints and archive Master technical
drawings in accordance to Company and quality procedures.
Interface and provide clarification and guidance and technical support to construction sites.
Perform related duties as and when directed by Direct Supervisor.












Basic Qualifications


A Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
15+ Years of Experience in professional electrical engineering, involving
design,planning,checking,site supervision/inspection,general arrangement and supervisory
responsibility,particularly in the water/wastewater industry;
Must have worked at least 5 years as Senior Engineer,supervising and guiding a team of
engineers & designers; Experience in reviewing key deliverables prepared by Electrical and
Instrumentation Control Automation(ICA) team;
Has clearly demonstrated engineering competence,interpersonal/team building skills &
leadership skills;
Thorough knowledge of Industry practices,codes and standards which are in use in the Middle
East/India regions,as applicable to electrical engineering.Working knowledge in electrical works
such as HV/LV Switchgear,Cable Routing,Transformers,Earthing & Lightning
Protection,Lighting System and Hazardous Area Classification;
General knowledge as minimum of industry practices,codes and standards which are in use in
the Middle East/India regions,as applicable to ICA engineering.This is to include knowledge in
works such as P&IDs,instrument selection and Application,Control System Configuration and
specification,and related low voltage communications systems.
Hands on experience and familiarity with industry software,such as ETAP/EDSA/Power
Tools,Smart Plant Electrical,3D Model review Tools,(SPR & Navis Works),Chalmlite,MS
Office Suite etc.
Basic knowledge of AutoCAD,Microstation and 3D modelling tools(PDS,Cad
Worx,AutoPlant etc.)
Experience of working on projects for MENAI clients preferred;
Should have excellent communication skills essential for clients;Interdisciplinary and vendor
coordination,and coordination with other work share offices.What you will find

Design and engineering of High Voltage Systems/ Distribution Systems in compliance with international codes and standards,
project specifications & general specifications prevalent in Oil & Gas, Chemicals & other associated industries.

Procurement of electrical equipment, including preparation/review of datasheets, requisitions, carrying out technical bid evaluations,
approval of vendor documents.

Good knowledge of major industry Codes and Standards (e.g., API, ISA, IEC, IEEE, etc.)

Inspection of major electrical equipments/ FAT

Software skills for systems design and calculations. (ETAP, SKM etc.)

Involvement in Project planning and Scheduling Activities, efforts-hours estimation, documents checking & auditing.

Involvement in proposal development for various project types DFR (Detailed Feasibility report), FEED, EPCM, etc

Basic Job Requirements

B Tech / B.E. with 3 - 5 years experience in a Consulting / Engineering (EPC environment) pertaining to Hydrocarbon / Petro-
chemical / Oil & Gas sectors.
