E-Portal: Online Information and Ordering
The E-Portal is the online information and ordering
platform from Bosch Packaging Services. The portal
contains customised as well as machine specic spare
parts data, allowing transparent ow of information
and thus simplifying the ordering process and increasing
the efciency of your spare parts logistics. If required,
all members of staff involved in ordering spare parts can
be provided with a logon to access the portal. Detailed
spare parts information and direct ordering facilities are
available around the clock and in several languages.
You can access the E-Portal via the website of Bosch
Packaging Services: www.boschpackagingservices.com
in the E-Portal section. Here you can use the login
screen to log in.
Additional Functions
Using the Open Catalog Interface (OCI) product
information may be transferred to your internal
purchasing catalogue or ERP system. This allows you
to order parts via your company own internal system
whilst being able to use the E-Portal information.
In the Corporate Portal several location-specic
E-Portals may be combined. This combination may
be for the benet of a corporation, a purchasing
organisation, etc. It enables an E-Portal user to
manage the ordering process for several locations
while having access to relevant information on
all spare parts.

Spare parts may be marked on a memo for orders or
maintenance projects. Your order is processed via a
basket.
If required, baskets may also be transferred to your
internal purchasing catalogue system.

You also have the option to request a written quotation

Alm Vita specialises in herbal vitamin supplements.
They follow the highest quality standards for process-
ing of selected herbs. The seasonal periods of peak
production mean that stringent planning for Alm Vita
is essential. The E-Portal from Bosch Packaging
Services gives us optimal support reports the
Production Manager. It supplies us with all impor-
tant spare parts information on prices, availability
and delivery time. This enables us to plan and carry
out very precisely the revision and maintenance for
our packaging machinery. Critical parts can be
identified by a mouse click and ordered to stock in
preparation for an emergency. Alm Vita have seen
a remarkable improvement in spare parts logistics.
For the purchasing department the online platform
eliminates the time-consuming search through
numerous spare parts catalogues. Thanks to techni-
cal data and photographs, the required parts can be
found fast and easily. The process for requesting
quotes and orders has been simplified. If the produc-
tion workers notice an irregularity with a machine
outside normal working hours, they can mark parts
on a memo in the E-Portal and the purchasing
department will order them from Bosch the very
next day.
Around the clock, the E-Portal provides Alm Vita with
customised spare parts information. The transparent
flow of information allows for rapid decision-making.
This has enabled Alm Vita to streamline and improve
their logistics process considerably. Presently, Alm
Vita plans to connect the E-Portal with its internal
ERP system. This step appears to be the logical
consequence of the strength of our past experience.

What is a Preventive Maintenance Agreement?
A Preventive Maintenance Agreement (PMA) ensures
that appropriate periodic maintenance activities are
carried out at the right time. This does not replace the
ongoing maintenance by your own staff but
complements it with expert insight and ongoing
knowledge transfer to plant mechanics and operators.
Whenever possible, the same service engineer(s) (based
on your preference) are assigned to your agreement. We
also provide support by phone or e-mail between visits
with our Bosch technical support team which provides
quick access to Bosch expertise.
A PMA is not a complex contract or a guarantee with an
unclear promise; you sign up for an agreed-upon series
of service visits over a period of time, and we do the
rest. A PMA can be tailored to your specic needs and
can be as open or as specic as desired.

The lling accuracy of the GKF was further improved by
a number of changes made to the powder station.
Do you want to reduce the weight tolerances during
production or minimize the dust formation during the
compressed powder transfer?
Whilst packaging difcult products the powder can
continue trickling when it is transferred to the capsules
which may result in unintentional weight uctuations.
With our new double powder deector, which covers 2
stations, the nal powder compression is done before
the powder is lled into the capsules. So no loose pow-
der can trickle on the compressed product after the last
tamping step. The individual weights are more accurate
and the dust formation is minimized.

Turret Alignment Pins
With these Bosch alignment pins, you can create perfect alignment between the segment and dosing tur-
rets, lower segments, and dosing disk.
X The segment turret alignment should be veried and/or corrected before checking transfer station
alignment.
X Two alignment pins are placed on opposite ends of a lower segment and indexed to the powder transfer
station. Dosing disk bolts are left nger tight to allow rotational adjustment.
X Using the supplied screws, pass through the dosking disk and thread into the alignment pins and pull
them into the dosing disk. If the pins cannot be pulled into the dosing disk, move the dosing gearbox to
correct the alignment.
X Once the pins can be pulled into the dosing disk, tighten the dosing disk bolts.
X Use the dosing disk alignment pins to check alignment between dosing disk and tamping pin guide ring.
If alignment is not correct, loosen tamping shaft pillow blocks and adjust until alignment is correct.

Description
The slug tester is used to accurately determine the
optimum dosing disk height for any size capsule (000,
00, 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5) relative to the product dosage
required. It is also very useful in determining slug quality
and simulates the transfer of the slug from the dosing
disk to the lower capsule. The slug tester can also be
used during the Research and Development phase of
new products. The created slugs can then be used for
dissolution testing and excipient usage determination.

KKE 1500 - capsule Inspection System

Out contribution to the subject 100%
weight verication - checking each indivi-
dual capsule for correct weight.
The capsules arrive from a container (wich
mesh base for separation of dust and cap-
sule fragments) according to the GKF prin-
ciple; the singularized capsules enter 12
tracks from where they reach the weighing
pans. The capsules are sorted by an ejector
into 2 classes, pass and fail weight.
The weighing results is classied into the
classes fragments, underweight, accept
weight and overweight, and recorded in
counters. A reject crosscheck monitors this
function. The counters are displayed.
