Biography:

Marco Dianese was born 1971, at Croce di Musile di Piave, near Venice Italy.

There, he was raised in an environment of strong cultural and artistic tradition, which
fostered his interest in arts since his teenage years. Frequent visits to Modern Art
Shows and personal associations with the local artistic community enormously
contributed to the shaping of his esthetic sense and technical skills. The need to
express his rich creative sensitivity first found an outlet in music and for years he was
known as one of the first indie DJs along the Venetian coast.

In the late nineties, the desire to broaden his studies of modern art took him to the
USA. Eclectically, yet almost systematically, he began exploring the treasures this
country provides to lovers of Arts - from the most renowned public exhibits to the most
minuscule private galleries. Confident he had finally consolidate his personal style and
artistic identity, he started his own art production in Houston,Texas. In 2004 Marco
moved to New York City where he continues to work and live.

Dianeses early works are characterized by the use of wool threads, in different colors,
usually braided and laid over acrylic, digital prints or oil paintings. He also creates small
sculptures, made of varied materials - wool, plasters and metals. This early production
reflects his fondness for the Italian Arte Povera and the American Minimalism. In his
own perception, he fuses and complements these styles and fiber art technique, to
which he was exposed to while in Italy, especially through his closeness to his friend
and mentor, Rosanna Boraso.

Marcos recent project, The Sweet Choices of Life, is a series of food/desserts
photographic representation printed on various materials along with their title and
recipe. One of his main goals in this exhibit is to spread beauty and evoke
pleasure.
