To use a data collection system, it is
necessary to integrate it into an IT
infrastructure. Your data must be
safely recorded, transmitted and
processed. Our terminals and
components, equipped with modern
communication technologies, are well
equipped for these tasks.
To congure a registration system, you
can use the same network connec-
tions, cables, interfaces and standard-
ized product parameter and program-
ming settings. B-COMM ERP 4 is a
high-performance communication
solution which enables integration into
IT infrastructures based on various
operating systems, while also allowing
connections to any standard computer
system and integration into networks.
This allows your time and attendance,
shop oor data collection and access
control systems to be integrated into
your SAP ERP system. This software is
based on an SAP-certied interface
which ensures smooth data exchange
between the individual SAP modules
and the registration devices. The
system runs autonomously in the
background. This interface is
constantly updated in line with the
latest SAP product developments. This
solution therefore also enables com-
munication with SAP applications via
SAP XI Server, XML (Extensible Markup
Language) and ALE (Application Link
Enabling). The software supports com-

All our additional modules are run straight from your web browser and dont
need to be installed on your computer. Data is exchanged in an encrypted format
between the terminals and the operating system. This ensures a high level of data
security. The registration screens on the modules are modern, clearly presented
and user-friendly. The user will find the application fast and intuitive to use. All
the modules are available in many languages a key benefit for international
companies.
Visitor Management:
Making visitors welcome
Visitor Management is a module used
for visitor and contractor manage-
ment. Independent of SAP, it allows
you to generate and manage badges
and visitor passes. It allows people
from outside the company to partici-
pate in the companys existing time
and attendance and/or access control
system without their data being
entered into the SAP system.
The clearly presented screens allow
for quick and easy registration. Once
saved, the data may be used again for
future visits. Customized reports, e.g.,
number of visitors, can be viewed at
any time.
The Visitor Management module
offers the following benets:

Attendance Board:
Presence at a glance
The color-coded presence overview
indicates at a glance which employees
are present and absent. The module
always provides the most up-to-date
information on the presence status of
your employees. For example, this
overview can be used by the staff on
switchboard to give correct informa-
tion at all times. Departmental manag-
ers in production can also take imme-
diate action if an employee is
unexpectedly absent. The attendance
board provides the basis for the roll
call. In the event of an emergency, the
system presents the rescue teams with
lists of names and information as to
the most recent whereabouts of the
missing persons.
HR Supervisor:
Controlled bookings
This model allows supervisors to regis-
ter, correct and approve HR bookings
before these are transferred into the
SAP system. Only after approving the
data are the bookings loaded. This pre-
vents errors from entering the SAP
system and saves you having to make
laborious adjustments. It also allows
the supervisor to keep track of the
presence of their employees.

mine who has posted last at the access

Employee self service saves time
Employee self service generally means more transparency for employees and
managers and speeds up processes when approving applications.
This paper-less procedure ensures both time and cost savings.
Kaba Employee Self Service (ESS):
Leave requests made easy
This module simplies, speeds up and
standardizes staff administration pro-
cesses. Employees can conveniently
use this web-based application on their
PC to create, display or change their
own presence and absence times or to
start approval processes. Vacation or
exitime requests or approval re-
quests for business trips and seminars
are easy to prepare and manage. The
applications are to sent to the relevant
supervisors by email for their approval
and can be processed by them in
B-COMM ERP 4. The employee can see
all their requests in the requests over-
view. The team calendar allows super-
visors and employees to quickly assess
the number of employees present in
the department. Managers can also
immediately approve requests in the
team calendar.
Employees can use an ESS app on the
Kaba terminal 97 00. This app allows
them to complete the application pro-
cess after being identied at the termi-
nal.
HTML Time Statement:
My times at the press of a button
Every employee in your company can
view and print their personal time
statement on a PC or information ter-
minal and, if necessary, consult the
Human Resources department. This
allows you to address problems with
your employees at an early stage. It
also saves you the chore of handing
out the time statements.
WebTerminal:
Recording times on a PC
The WebTerminal allows you to regis-
ter your presence and absence times
quickly, simply and intuitively on your
PC. By default, you will have the same
colored function keys as those found
on stationary registration terminals.
The WebTerminal can also be cong-
ured to suit your preferences. You can
create your own functions and sym-
bols, as well as your own background
images. The employee is shown their
time records and personal time
accounts. When combined with
Kaba ESS, supervisors are informed by
email of any changes to bookings. This
saves you having to register these
changes manually in your SAP system
and therefore reduces overhead costs.

ERP 4 CATS:
Sending data to all departments
Do you want more than your SAP ERP system can offer?
Aside from its standard solution, Kaba also offers an integrated solution for SAP
CATS, as well as other modules for time and attendance, shop floor data collection
and access control. These modules cover a range of functions which are not
included as part of the SAP service package, but which are needed in addition by
many companies for their everyday operations.
When it comes to efciently register-
ing working times and activities, CATS
(Cross Application Time Sheet) is a real
help because it enables a uniform and
universal time registration process.
Kabas interface for SAP CATS offers
you an optimized ow of registered
data to the relevant target module in
SAP. The employees register their time
or order data at the Kaba terminals or
via a WebTerminal. The Kaba module
calculates the time spent and reports
this to CATS.
With B-COMM ERP 4 CATS, your time
data (based on the amount of working
time) needs to be registered just once
and is then automatically transferred
via CATS to the relevant department as
follows:
> presence and absence times are
sent to Human Capital Management
(HCM)
> internal order data and statistics are
sent to Controlling (CO)
> responses from internal
maintenance staff and Customer

Handling. They expand the range of
possible applications for SAP CATS.
CATS Presence Registration can be
used by the employee to report their
presence or absence times directly
from the terminal. They can choose op-
tions from a selection list, e.g., Leav-
ing for a reason. In this case, the sys-
tem calculates the time that is still
expected and also the future working
time before transferring it to SAP CATS
in the background.

CATS Error Handling is a direct and
convenient way to deal with errors,
such as forgotten bookings, in the SAP
system. The erroneous bookings are
presented to you in a graphical over-
view.
Access control Guaranteed security
Who has access where, when and for how long? How can I make sure that only
selected persons have access to certain parts of the company?
Security aspects and standardized authorization management are becoming
increasingly important. Kabas access control systems allow you to regulate and
manage access to your companys sites, buildings and rooms. We will provide the
right solution for the right hardware. All our products can be cleverly combined
and easily integrated into your SAP system.

Kaba SAP access control:
Access control in SAP
This module allows you to integrate the
management of access control units
and access terminals straight into SAP
so that you can assign access authori-
zations in SAP. Time proles, access
grids and special days will help you to
dene and change your employees
access rights quickly and easily. The
master records containing the authori-
zations are then sent to the terminals,
are stored there locally and thereby
safeguard ofine operation. This mod-
ule is ideally combined with the exist-
ing time registration system. Persons
requesting access will have their badge
data checked to ensure that they have
the right time-based and room-based
authorizations.
Kaba exos 9300:
Comprehensive access management
The Kaba exos 9300 access manage-
ment system is a good choice if you
wish to organize access control outside
of SAP.
Kaba exos 9300 is an integrated
access management system which
takes all security aspects into account.
It gives you exibility in coordinating
all access rights from either a central
location or from several locations, thus
ensuring easy data management. The
system offers a range of scalable and
clever modules which can easily be
adjusted to meet your specic needs,
including authorization management,
visitor management, car park manage-
ment and many more.
Kaba exos Connector:
Simple data exchange
This interface provides your Kaba exos
access system with the SAP master
records required to validate access
bookings. A web service is used to
receive the master records and
balances. The Kaba exos access
system is therefore always ready to
accept and process master records
from B-COMM ERP 4. The interface
also accepts bookings from the
terminals in order to validate them in
the B-COMM ERP 4 solution.
Alarm Management:
Immediate action possible
Alarm Management is used to manage
and display alarms. If errors ever occur
in the time and attendance or access
control system, you will be alerted by
this module. If a time and attendance
terminal causes problems or if a door
is sabotaged, you will immediately be
informed by a pop-up or by email. You
will then be able to take the necessary
action and quickly rectify the situation.
Shop oor data collection
Staying ahead of the competition
Shop floor data collection helps you to assess and continuously optimize your cost
structures and production processes.
As a company, you always want to know how much of your production capacity is
currently being utilized, what your order volumes are like and how much each order
is costing you. This requires exact figures. This data can provided by a shop floor
data collection system (SFDC).
This records all the relevant order data, which is then promptly incorporated into the
SAP system. This saves you having to register and update data twice. Evaluations in
the SAP system ensure sustained transparency.

B-COMM ERP 4 SAP ERP is a modular
subsystem for registering job data and
supplements SAP modules PP, PM, PS,
CS and CATS. It registers and validates
production-related data and transfers
it to the relevant SAP modules. The
data is transferred via interfaces such
as the SAP-certied interface PP-PDC.
The system provides convenient and
simple dialogs which are tailored to
suit the employee and require little
training time. This minimizes registra-
tion times and avoids errors.
The Kaba solution comprises:
> time and attendance for set-up,
processing and shut down,
> yield reports, rejected products and
reason for deciency,
> checks for shortfalls and surpluses
in deliveries,
> registration based on time events
and time tickets,
> workplace changes,

All bookings are validated and are then
entered into the SAP system. The
processes in SAP are then updated and
the job data is aligned with B-COMM

to date. The data is updated and
calculated solely in SAP.

Automatic start, interruption and
completion of an order:
Fewer bookings
With this module, Kaba closes the gap
between HCM and shop oor data
collection; a time and attendance
booking can be used by your employ-
ees to automatically start or end the
last order they processed. If an
employee books an interruption (for
when they start their break, for
example), the order in progress will
automatically be paused accordingly.
This module minimizes the number of
entries you make, saves you time and
reduces the number of erroneous
entries. Data feedback is further
simplied and omissions become a
thing of the past.
Changing orders:
Easy and convenient
This function makes your order regis-
tration easier and more convenient
because active orders from PP, PM, PS,
or CATS are automatically terminated
when a new order is started. This
most notably reduces the amount of
time spent registering short work
processes.
Automatic reporting on standard
operation:
Allocating idle times
This allows you to automatically
register the unassigned times of an
employee. The unassigned times are
added to an overhead order which is
created for the particular employee.
You can specify the time from which
unassigned times should be calculated.
If the employee exceeds the specied
period between their arrival and start-
ing a job or between nishing a job and
starting their next one, the non-
productive time is added to the dened
overhead order. This allows idle times
to be automatically classied and
lled with an activity. This allows
you to ensure maximum concordance
between the recorded order time and
the amount of time that the employee
was actually present.

Multiple machine operation and
multiple order processing:
Calculating proportionate times
If several employees are working
together on an order or an employee is
simultaneously operating more than
one machine, you will need to use this
module to ensure an accurate calcula-
tion of the amount of time actually
spent on the job.
Developed by Kaba as an extension for
the SAP modules PP, PM and PS, this
solution uses registered time events
(start/end) to record the amount of
work required to operate multiple
machines and process multiple orders.
It calculates a net time for various
activities, such as working time,
machine time, set-up time, etc. and
also generates time tickets.
You will then be able to categorize the
various machine times when more
than one machine is operated. The
machines running time and the
persons work time are then calculated
as a proportion in relation to the
number of jobs and machines in opera-
tion; these times are then allocated to
the relevant orders.
Even when processing multiple orders,
whereby several orders are processed
by a single person using one or more
machines, the working time can be
allocated to various categories. Break
times can be automatically deducted in
accordance with the SAP duty roster.

Time adjustment:
Order times versus working times
This module allows you to retrospec-
tively check reported order times
against the presence time of one or
more employees. The period for
adjustment can be set using the
parameters. An SAP module provided
by Kaba calculates the adjusted times
in the background and then sends the
adjusted times straight into the PP
module. The Kaba module Multiple
Machine Operation is required to make
this time adjustment. You can benet
from the direct integration into the
SAP time management system.
Another benet of this solution is that,
once the employee or the machine has
completed the work, a time report
appears in the SAP system in the form
of a time ticket.

Collective entries:
Simplified registration
To ensure the speedy registration of
order data and time and quantity
conrmations, Kaba has developed the
add-on module Collective Entries. This
solution enables the user to conrm
times and quantities for an existing
order group quickly and easily. Order
packages can be compiled for each
employee and workstation. This facili-
tates the registration process and
avoids erroneous entries. Several
collective packages can be registered
for each employee. The orders can be
taken from the SAP modules PP, PS
and PM and the registered data is auto-
matically sent back there.

TRS Web Terminal SFDC: Making
bookings at your workstation
The TRS WebTerminal SFDC allows
employees to register and cancel
operations from their PC workstation.
This application is therefore a sensible
add-on for your PP, PM and PS mod-
ules. It can be used to enter orders
straight into a screen and report it to
the B-COMM ERP 4 system. Collective
entries, update reports for orders
and paperless registration are also
possible. The system manages and
processes the registered data in
the same way as data recorded at
stationary terminals.
Simulation tool:
Simplified testing
This testing tool simulates your unique
data registration and feedback pro-
cess, thereby helping you to simplify
your test procedure for implementa-
tion, release updates, or extensions.
The various registration scenarios
can be predened as use cases in
Excel and then run automatically. The
registration dialogs can either be simu-
lated in real time or alternatively run in
direct mode.
In real time, the booking sequences are
entered for several days and shifts and
simulated throughout this period. In
direct mode, the bookings are made
directly at the current point in time.
Once testing is complete, the tool
checks whether or not any deviations
have occurred and then clearly pres-
ents these for analysis.
