Background Information:
You are a financial analyst for City Power & Light. Senior managers have asked you to determine
how much power sales increased from 2010 to 2013, based on customer types. You can compare
rates of power sales using a Clustered Bar Chart.

Final Project Preparation Steps:
To prepare for this part of your Final Project you must do the following:
1. Create a New Folder on your desktop or on your thumb drive and name it COMP 210
Final Project and Exam
2. Save the data files (Excel file and the Final Project and Exam.PDF files) that were attached
to the Final Project and Exam email, in the COMP 210 Final Project and Exam folder
you created on your desktop or your thumb drive.


Final Project Section I City Power & Light: Sales by Customer Type
Complete the following steps:
1. Open PowerPoint
2. Open a new blank presentation and apply the FLOW theme.
3. On slide 1 type the following in the title location:
a. City Power & Lights
4. One slide 1 for the subtitle section type the following information:
a. Your Name <Press Enter>
b. COMP 210 Final Project <Press Enter>
c. October 21, 2014
5. Insert a new Title and Content Slide (for slide 2).
6. For slide 2: Type the following for the slide title:
a. 2010 2013 Sales
7. Insert a Clustered Bar Chart and type the following chart data:

8. Apply Design Style 26 to the chart and change the chart title to:

10. Save the presentation as Power Sales.pptx and leave the file open.

Final Project Section II Who Pays the Electric Bill by Customer Age Groups
Complete the following steps: (Using the Power Sales.pptx you just created)

1. Insert a new Title and Content Slide (for slide 3).
2. Insert a 3-D Clustered Column Chart and click OK to create the chart.
3. Open the Customers by Ages Excel Spreadsheet you downloaded and saved to your
COMP 210 Final Project and Exam folder that you created on your desktop or on your
thumb drive
4. Select the cell range A3:C6 and click Copy (Ctrl + C) or the Copy icon located on the
Excel Home tab.
5. Go back to your Power Sales.pptx presentation and in the worksheet window (that was
opened when you inserted the 3-D Clustered Column Chart)
6. Click in cell A1 and Paste (Ctrl + V) or use the paste icon located on the PowerPoint
Home tab.

7. Delete all unnecessary sample data in the Excel worksheet, and make sure the range
boarder surrounds the range A1:C4.
8. Go back to the Customers by Ages Excel spreadsheet and close it.
9. Go back to PowerPoint and close the chart worksheet window.


10. On slide 3, click on the legend to select it. Right-mouse click and select Format
Legend.
11. Under Legend Options, change the Legend position to Bottom and click Close.
12. Click the vertical axis label to select the axis, click the Home tab, click the Font Size
box, and click 16 to change the font size.
13. Click the horizontal axis label to select the axis, click the Home tab, click the Font
Size box, and click 24 to change the font size.
14. Click the Legend to select the legend, click the Home tab, click the Font Size box, and
click 32 to change the font size.
15. Add the following title to slide 3:
a. Electric Bill Paid by: <Press Enter>
b. Customer Age Groups
16. Center the chart title and change the font size to 48.
17. Click the Save Button to save the changes made to the presentation. Do not close
PowerPoint.

9. SAVE the presentation file and CLOSE it.
