Valedictorian Speech

Good Morning, friends and family, ladies and gentlemen. Before I get started, I would like to
take a moment to thank all of you sitting here today for giving me this opportunity to speak in
front of you on this special occasion.
Before we start I would like to dedicate a small amount of time to those who were unable to
make to the final hurdle.
I shall begin by a quote I would rather walk with a friend in the dark, than alone in the light.
!et that quote linger in your minds. "he #hallenge has helped unify all of us, combining all
our $mpty %olitary beings into one giant ball of &iggs Boson molecules. 'hat I mean by this
is that "he #hallenge has helped all of us develop and forge lasting (riendships. )ow I shall
share some of my own e*periences about how the #hallenge has helped me to construct
new friendships. +uring the #hallenge, the activities were varied from individual focus to
team based, these team based activities forced me to socialise with others, which I have to
admit I struggled with. &owever I confess that it was for the better and it helped me
strengthen the bond with my team. $veryone has had their own small bumps and has
struggled along the way but we have all completed the task and I further congratulate you on
doing so.
It has unfortunately come to a closure, the end of a new chapter, the finale of a ", series,
the )#% #hallenge has regrettably come to an end. +-. %euss once said .ou have brains
in your head. .ou have feet in your shoes. .ou can steer yourself in any direction you
choose. .ou/re on your own. 0nd you know what you know. .ou are the guy who/ll decide
where to go. "he reason to why I am saying this is that you must use all your skills gained
from the challenge to help propel yourself into the working world. 10nalogy about rockets and
the space ship2 "hink of it like a space shuttle launch, the booster rockets will only propel
you into space and then they break off, the challenge has propelled you into the working
world. &owever you do see a space station, guide yourself there and you have the &ead
%tart program, which will further help you in the world of work.
