The following points to be discussed in the programme meeting
1) In some programmes due to commercials earth station staff are forced to do
the editing of the programmes. These programmes may be capsuled with
commercials. If it is unavoidable then suitable wipes or captions may be
inserted so that edit points are easily identified. Searching for suitable edit
point can be avoided as we are not familiar with the programmes especially
Quiz and MMMG.
2) Programme of 30 mts or less duration, between two live progrmmes from
studios may be given through VTR.
Ex: Morning, 0800 to 08 30Hrs. server play back from Earth station and
between 0830 to 09 00 hrs live programmes from studios . On 26
th
August
News ended at 18 48Hrs. and programme of 12 mts duration has been played
from Earth Station and Studio live started at 1900 Hrs. Therefore, short
duration of programmes may be played from studios only due to frequent
change overs.
3) Programmes before linking and delinking should be maintain proper duration.
Most of the times programmes ends early or exceeds by 2 to 3 mts, due to this
linking or delinking has been delayed. Therefore, Network programme or
regional service starts abruptly.
4) Tapes should reached earth station well in advance at least 2 Hrs before
telecast.
5) Fillers in between programmes may be scheduled for exact duration so that
the next programme starts on time otherwise earth station engineer may be
allowed to add fillers for the exact duration.

The following problems noticed while loading into the server on 21/22.07.2014
1. On 22.07.2014 at 06.30Hrs Margadharshana (Tape No. PRO/126/2165)
does not contain Programme, intimated Duty officer tape has been
changed and loaded into the server.

2. At 08.05 Hrs Documentary on Ulsour Someswara temple Reading
mentioned as per cue sheet is 3200-5475 but it does not having the
programme and after searching the tape and found that it started after
2mts (34.25). Reading mistake.

3. At 9.30 Hrs. Arogya Bharatha mentioned in the cue sheet was repeat of
Monday T/C at 18.00 Hrs programme but another tape also given. (Tape
No. Pro/126/2208). Confussion to select programme. No Proper
intimation.

4. Regularly news exceeds by 2 to 3 mts. and some times programmes
duration also exceeds during linking period. Hence, linking will be delayed.

This is for your kind information and necessary action please.
