Reference (Pronoun Reference)
- Pronoun references are used to avoid repeating using the
same noun and help the flow of the text.
- Pronouns are used to refer to words or phrases usually
mentioned earlier in the text.
- Common referents are he, him, his, this, that, her, it, etc.
- A good reader needs to be able to read faster and
understand the idea(s) the writer is trying to say better.
