DESCRIPTION
The LH 1540 is a single pole single throw (SPST), norm ally open
(N O ), solid state relay. The relay can control A C or D C loads
currents up to 100 m A , w ith a supply voltage up to 350 V. The
device is packaged in a six pin 0.3 inch dual-in line package.
This package offers an insulation dielectric w ithstand of 3750
VA C
RMS
.
The coupler consists of a A lG aA s LED that is optically coupled
to a dielectrically isolated photodiode array w hich drives tw o
series connected high voltage M O S transistors. The typical
O N -resistance is 20
at 25 m A and is linear up to 50 m A .
There is built-in current lim iting circuitry in the detector chip,
enabling it to pass FC C 68-302 and other regulatory voltage
surge requirem ents w hen over voltage protection is provided.
