Client Description:
United Overseas Bank Limited is a major banking organization headquartered in Singapore, with
branches mostly found in most South-east Asian countries.

Project Objective:
The objective of project is to develop and execute an enterprise-wide Reference Data strategy
according the BASEL II accord to improve the efficiency of their regulatory compliance, promote
understanding of their data landscape, and improve data confidence for a variety of roles within the
organization. In addition, reference data should be maintained in such a way as to provide an
historical view of data as it occurred at the time the transaction was loaded. A new process needs to
build and maintain the reference data information. Sources to this flow are Excel spread sheets from
Information Warehouse and General Global Ledger Data from SAP. These reference data sources
will be loaded into Target Reveals dimension tables. The overall aim is to obtain Advanced Internal
Ratings Based (AIRB) status under the BASEL II accord.

Client Description:

Giant is one of the largest players of the retail industry in Malaysia, having over 85 branches spread
throughout the country. It was founded by the Teng family in 1944, has made substantial progress in
developing and deploying Enterprise Business Intelligence.

Project Objective:

The objective of the project is to design and build a data warehouse for Store Healthiness and
maintenance and to take effective decisions, using the DataStage, an ETL Tool (Extraction,
Transformation and Loading). Source Data was extracted from Oracle Tables/files, then
transformed and loaded to Staging Area and Staging Area to Warehouse. Then the data will be
feed from warehouse to Data marts.

Responsibilities:

Understanding and design the ETL specifications based on the client requirement.
Data Stage jobs created to extract, transform and load data from various sources like
relational databases, flat files, etc into data warehouse.
Worked extensively on different types of stages like ODBC, Sequential File, Transformer, Sort,
Remove Duplicate, Joiner, Sequential and Modified.

The Farmers Insurance Group of Companies was founded in 1928. Farmers Insurance
Group of Companies is the country's third-largest insurer of both Private Personal Lines passenger
automobile and homeowners insurance, and also provides a wide range of other insurance and
financial services products.
Project Objective:
It has multiple Data stage processes to extract, transform and load data from other
transactional system. This complete migration process is in two phases for treaty data and facultative
data respectively, the biggest challenge in this project understands business and frequent changes in
target systems for every load.
