2006-2008 GOOGLE MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA


Business Analyst, Online Operations
Worked with sales managers and representatives to understand their business, providing the analytical background
to make effective decisions.
 Trusted advisor to key teams. Helped managers understand the opportunities and challenges of the business,
focusing on North America (NA) operations. Impacted directly the Agency team, responsible for ~10% of NA
revenue (then at ~$1 B), and to different degrees teams responsible for another ~50% of NA revenue.
 Led various reporting initiatives, looking at standard metrics such as CPC and CPM for different verticals, in
our business intelligence platform used by ~1,000 people.
 Supported a major reorganization of our North American unit which affected ~600 people. My role was wide-
encompassing and went from defining scope with the sales organization, translating them into technical
requirements with engineers, factoring the reporting challenges with fellow analysts, and project-managing the
execution in conjunction with representatives from different departments.
 Received two Gold Awards recognizing my contributions. The first one recognized that I identified major needs
in our team, obtained feedback, and implemented solutions that promoted better knowledge sharing. The
second one recognized my wide-encompassing role in leading the North America vertical reorganization.

2004-2006 Product Manager, Associate


Worked across functions (Engineering, Legal and Marketing) to define product specifications and execute on
product vision to maintain Google’s technological edge.
 Led team of engineers in launch of new index for Google Images with over a billion entries, making it the
largest free on-line repository of images.
 Worked with cross-functional team to take various products to international markets. Took our photo-sharing
software from 1 language and 1 country to 39 languages and 142 countries in less than a year.
 On personal time, made Google into a registrar so to improve search results. Initiative made news headlines
and was recognized in internal launches mailing list and company-wide TGIF.

personal Grew up in Brazil and India, have green card. Fluent in Portuguese and Hindi, both at native level. Climbed Mt
Whitney (highest in continental US) and Mt Kilimanjaro (highest in Africa). Since 2000 been running a non-profit
focused on developing infrastructure (school, hospital) in rural India (http://hospitalforhope.com).
